Convergint Announces Expansion Plans with the creation of 50 more jobs

Global leader in electronic security systems, Convergint has announced its plans to expand their recruiting efforts across all regions of Ireland to meet the increased demand and to continue providing its best to its customers. This announcement comes on the heels of and the company’s 20th anniversary, significant growth and business momentum reported throughout Ireland and its most recent technology centre opening in Cork.

Convergint Announces Expansion Plans

The $1.7B global company announced its expansion into Ireland in 2016 and shortly after obtained MTS Security, Ireland’s largest independently owned security systems company, in Dublin. Continuing from this, Convergint has embarked on its global expansion initiatives to meet consumer demand and provide sophisticated on a global, enterprise-wide scale.

The latest expansion plans across Ireland include hiring 50 colleagues over the next 24 months. Leo Varadkar T.D, The Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, has said ‘I warmly welcome Convergint’s plans to create 50 new jobs across the country over the next two years. Convergint have had a presence in Ireland since 2016 and I really welcome this latest expansion and their continued commitment to Ireland. I wish the team all the very best.’ which furthers the support from the Irish government.

IDA Ireland’s executive director has also spoken in favour of the company’s expansion and recruitment plan ‘The decision by Convergint to create 50 new roles across all regions in Ireland is very welcome and is due to the company’s increasing global customer base in Europe, as well as a demand for its specialized services in electronic security. I wish Convergint every success with its Irish operations.’
