Irish IT solutions company, Compunet, today unveiled details of its new IT Support partnership with ILC Dover, the US special engineering and manufacturing company. The partnership saw Compunet deliver a €300,000 IT infrastructure project at ILC Dover’s new Cork facility. The investment is part of ILC Dover’s €6 million new development at Blarney Business Park.

As part of the project, Compunet provided ILC Dover with complex IT services, including WAN, LAN, wireless and end-user technology, across its office workplace, manufacturing, cleanroom and warehouse environments. Additionally, Compunet will provide ongoing local helpdesk support on behalf of ILC Dover’s US-based helpdesk operations.

Commenting on the announcement, Tony Healy, Director of Compunet IT Solutions stated: “We are delighted to work with ILC Dover, on what is an exciting IT infrastructure project at their new Cork campus. We work with several US multinationals, currently investing in their EMEA bases in Cork, who have distinct and complex needs. Working with their individual teams, we develop and deliver a bespoke roll-out in line with their particular requirements, timelines and deliverables. The ILC Dover project has been successfully completed, and we look forward to working with the team on an ongoing basis.”

Speaking on the new partnership, Mark Sarro, Director of IT at ILC Dover added: “Our Cork facility will service clients in Ireland, Europe and Asia markets, across the Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharmaceutical sectors. We needed an IT system that could handle our varied international requirements and seamlessly connect each of the spaces in our facility. Compunet had the skillset, experience and knowledge required to deliver a project of this scale and complexity, on time and within budget.”

Compunet is the enterprise IT partner for a number of multinational companies in Cork, providing these organisations with extended helpdesk support, along with the delivery of a wide range of infrastructure deployments, refreshes and relocation projects. These partnerships along with continued SME growth resulted in year on year customer base and revenue increases. In 2017, Compunet expanded its managed services customer base by acquiring Cork-based TSG’s IT maintenance customer base. This latest project will further establish Compunet as one of the leading Irish IT solutions and support companies.

ILC Dover, a global leader in flexible containment solutions for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry, announced the expansion of its Ireland operations and the creation of 60 new jobs in November 2018.
