The Mill is opening the doors of its new building on the evening of December 1st for local businesses interested in sharing co-working space and hotdesks. The proliferation of co-working facilities across the globe has been exponential in the past decade, with many experts stating that it leads to greater creativity and productivity, increased interaction with similar startups and potential collaborators, and a clearer demarcation balance between work and home.

The Mill has doubled its size with the extension, and this will be an opportunity to speak to current Mill-ers, see the new facilities, have a chat over coffee about your business, and be informed on how The Mill is trying to develop & support entrepreneurs in the region.

Breanndán Casey, Business Development Manager at The Mill Enterprise Hub, stated that “The demand for dedicated hotdesks in our first building was very strong, and we ran out of space in late 2015. At that stage, we decided to increase our co-working offering when our new extension was complete. We can now offer local startups the ability to use our services on a per diem basis, which will also be convenient for commuters that may have an opportunity to work locally for part of the week”.

The Mill originally opened in May 2014, and aims to support entrepreneurship and innovation across the local region. The new co-working facility is housed in The Mill’s modern extension and includes high speed broadband, break-out areas, hi-tech meeting rooms, and a large training room.

According to Breanndán, “the evening will provide a relaxed environment over coffee to ascertain if co-working will suit your needs. We’ll also have a special offer for new hotdeskers, and explain how co-working functions. It’s particularly relevant to startups or those moving from a home office as it enables them to keep a rein on costs, whilst accessing the best office and networking facilities”.
