Climate Neutral created a new proprietary software and measurement tool named the Brand Emissions Estimator (BEE).

Climate Neutrals new software, akin to Turbo Tax, is capable of taking high-level business data and quickly computing the approximate carbon footprint of a company.
It is impossible for brands to care about their climate impact when they aren’t aware of what their carbon footprint is.
The release of this software is a critical step in catalyzing change in responsible corporate climate action, by democratizing a system for every size business to measure and understand their carbon footprint.
The tool provides a concise, achievable framework and calculation of their footprint within manufacturing and operations across continents and third-party vendors.
Pioneering and eliminating the largest barriers of entry companies previously faced when seeking to increase sustainability initiatives in CSR programs; this software provides 2 key solutions:

Firstly, brands wanting to measure their carbon footprint were required to pay up to $40,000 to outside consulting firms, spending countless amounts of dollars and time.

Secondly, measurement tools did not account for Scope 3 emissions which include all emissions embedded in the supply chain from production to point of purchase and can make up the largest percentage of total emissions for companies making consumer products.

After receiving the approximate estimation based on industry averages, companies can then refine their estimate specifically to their manufacturing & supply chain models.
The BEE is a critical first-step & tool in Climate Neutral’s overall mission:
To provide transparency and empower consumers through a verified, consumer label.
To enlist brands to measure, offset, and reduce their carbon footprint.
The BEE was used to certify the inaugural class of 124 companies that completed Climate Neutral’s certification process to fully measure, off-set, and enact plans to reduce carbon emissions from 2019 business operations.
This tool and process led to an offset of 133,543 tonnes of carbon.
Climate Neutral has now certified 144 brands offsetting 200,000 tonnes of CO2.
