videoDoc have launched a partnership with ChildVision to provide a bespoke, state of the art technology solution aiding the expansion of services nationally.
ChildVision is Ireland’s only service completely dedicated to the education and therapy needs of blind, visually impaired and multi-disabled children through Ireland, until now these children and their carers or parents had to travel to appointments, this vital service can now be accessed from anywhere in the country using a dedicated online platform and mobile app. The newly launched ChildVision mobile app will give parents and carers a way to conveniently connect with the specialist from anywhere in the country. Technology is changing the way health and wellbeing services are delivered, resulting in the utmost in access and convenience for the user, improving clinical outcomes as well enabling carers to expand their services.
The new service will boost the charity’s availability to offer essential specialist advice on nursing and therapeutic intervention. The charity has launched the service to provide more immediate access to those using the service and to expand nationally.
Chief Executive of ChildVision, Brian Allen said, “it’s not practical or fair to children with complex needs to travel when it’s not absolutely necessary, videoDoc technology allows us to put the needs of the child and their carers first while still delivering our specialist care and advice. The platform will also enable us to reach so many more children who are currently not travelling for assessment or advice.”
The partnership will allow access to the ChildVision specialist team without the need to travel to the appointment, increasing convenience and reach of the service; especially for those who are located outside the Dublin area.
Mary O’ Brien, videoDoc co-founder said, “We are delighted to develop a technology platform for ChildVision to expand their service nationally. This partnership aligns with our strategy of growing the market via partnerships and building specialist services with exceptional teams. It also empowers the end-user, allowing them to decide how and when they engage with Ireland’s leading service for visually impaired and multi-disabled children.” she added.
