This device is small, compact and light. These features are all intentional and aimed at a new generation looking to vlog on the go. Until now they may have been doing this on their phones, but there are good reasons for why you might not want to always use your phone to do this. Especially if your phone is not as robust and you don’t want to put it in the line of action more than necessary, especially when a device like this could be doing the heavy lifting for you.

It is simple to set up and use, which is going to be appealing for those who just want to plug and play. It does prefer to capture close content. Inside the box it is using tech from the 2019 Canon powershot, so you could argue that, while the outside is fresh and rebooted, maybe the inside could have had higher spec tech. Maybe this is a bit of an experiment for Canon, to see if there is a big demand and uptake for this product, before they really commit to it.

On it’s own terms our testers were pleased with it, and happy to use it. They got the swing of it fast, and were happy with the results. The relatively lower price, compared to top end smart phones could also help to provide some clear blue water too. Also, as it is a Canon, the visual results are good as you would expect. This could be the beginning of a whole new line of robust, good to take travelling products. If there is a waterproof version then even better for marine based vloggers too. For the right person in your life this could be a great stocking filler.
