Founded in December 2015, Wachsman PR is a global public relations agency specialising in financial technology. Split between New York and Dublin, Wachsman PR has represented over 40 clients since inception, including publicly traded companies, start-ups, entrepreneurs and some of the most disruptive and influential forces in fintech. With offices in New York City and now Dublin, the agency has become leaders in building reputations and exposure for companies in the blockchain, cryptocurrency, payments, equity crowdfunding, alternative asset, and real estate investment industries.
How are you different?
At Wachsman, we are a niche agency specialising entirely in financial technology. It is this focus which enables our staff to become experts in our field, acquiring deep industry knowledge in all things from advanced payments systems, to cryptocurrencies, blockchain, high tech cyber security hardware and peer to peer crowdfunding. It is with this knowledge and the subsequent ability to make extremely complex concepts digestible to the mainstream media, that we can effectively and successfully service our clients. Secondly, we are a global agency in more ways than one. With staff from the US, Australia, and Ireland we provide global media relations services to clients all around the world including Hong Kong, India, Spain, Switzerland, Canada, the United States and many more.
Why will the company/product do well?
Over the course of 2016, the world watched as emerging technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, and IoT began to sweep across the media landscape, showcasing their collective might in modernizing the financial services industry. The cryptocurrency industry alone has experienced exponential growth, rising from $7 billion USD at the end of 2015 to nearly $67 billion USD today.
However, not many people have the knowledge and expertise to accurately and appropriately communicate these revolutionary projects, technologies and ideas. At Wachsman PR, our strength lies in the fact we are specialists at what we do. Our clients look to us to enhance their reputations, increase their media presence and make their key messages interesting and relatable to their target audiences.
Where are you based?
Wachsman PR is split between the media capital of the world, New York City and one of the fastest growing fintech hubs in Europe, Dublin. Our New York office is located on Wall Street, an area in lower Manhattan home to the New York Stock Exchange and headquarters of some of the world’s largest financial institutions. Our European office is based in The Digital Hub, in the vibrant, historical and cultured ‘Liberties’ in Dublin 8. The Digital Hub is one of the largest cluster for digital companies in Ireland, nurturing both Irish and international enterprises.
When was the company launched?
Wachsman PR was founded in December 2015 by David Wachsman. After a very successful 18 months, the European HQ in Dublin was launched in May 2017.
What have been your biggest wins to date?
Since our inception, we have had the privilege of working with over 40 companies, something we are incredibly proud of. The opening of our European office in Dublin was a huge milestone for the agency, along with increasing our staff count to double digits back in December 2016. We also focus purely on earned media, rather than pay-for-play, and have secured over three thousand media placements for our clients.
What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?
Wachsman PR is a traditional public relations agency servicing a non-traditional industry. From global bitcoin exchanges, to blockchain not-for-profits, to novel social media platforms and next generation medtech investment portals, Wachsman PR represents a vast array of new world innovators bringing niche solutions to a growing, global audience. What are your long term plans for your product/company?
We have been very fortunate to experience exponential growth over the past 18 months. Looking ahead into 2017, Wachsman PR will be looking to expand both offices, hiring additional staff and growing our client base with global leading fintech organisations.
What are your favourite tech gadgets?
Wachsman PR is very much an Apple office – we are big fans of MacBooks, iPhones, and Apple watches.
