Describe the company – the elevator pitch …

Voyjer connects travelers with local experts for a true personalized travel plan. Our local experts will craft a unique travel plan, detailing recommendations & tips about where to go, how to get there, where to eat and more. How does it work? Very simple, go on to Voyjer.com, tell us all about your trip (who? When? Where? What?) and we will assign a local expert to plan your trip for you, you can then communicate with your local expert and ask questions. The service is a paid service and it cost $7 per travel day (e.g. for a 5 day trip $35).

How are you different?

Travel planning has been tackled in a variety of ways, mostly today by websites that provide information sorted using crowd wisdom. But crowd wisdom assumes we are all the same and want the same things. Voyjer provides a real personalized experience by making a one to one connection for travelers with local experts that work for them. Voyjer is a paid service, priced extremely reasonably, we believe that people that do hard work deserve to be paid, but also to ensure that travelers get a 5* (star) service always.

Our unique technology makes it super easy for local experts to provide a high quality product for a very low price. Generating an easy experience when planning, but more importantly, an amazing experience when traveling.

Why will the company / product do well?

The one thing we are constantly proud of, is what our users say about us. As one traveler wrote just last week: “Just came back from a weekend in Paris planned with Voyjer, the plan contained places we would have never found, all those, the best experiences in our trip”.

It’s our fan growing fan base of happy travelers that will move us forward.

Where are you based?

Raanana

When was the company launched?

2015

What have been your biggest wins to date?

Our biggest wins are happy returning customers, nothing makes us more proud than hearing another traveler that had a great experience. Beyond that we have a signed partnership with one of the top 5 travel agencies and with a commercial airline to provide the Voyjer service to their travelers.

What type of people are you trying to attract to your product?

People that like to travel on their own (Independent Travelers) and see more of the country they are visiting beyond the main tourist attractions. The ones interested in the local scene or just want to have a taste of the place they are in.

Those travelers that want to experience a place beyond the top 10 tourist attractions.

Tell us about your team?

Yoni Passwell – CEO & Founder – The dreamer and creator of this project

Amir Rosen – CTO & Founder – The architect of Voyjer

Jacky Braun Zuker – Marketing Manager – The engine of reach & customer satisfaction

What are you long term plans for your product / company?

We are continuing to grow the reach in additional destinations and add loyal travelers to our growing list of customers. We are currently seeking partnership with companies in the travel space.

What are your favourite tech gadgets?

I must be honest and say that today, my LG G4 pretty much does it all. If it counts, my do it all charger that charges 5 devices at once is a life saver more often than not.

What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?

Would love to be able to do everything from my phone, from opening doors to paying for a stick of gum. Empty pockets – just one device that does it all.

Anything else you’d like to add / we should have asked?

How did the idea come about?

Many years back when I was living in China I was planning to travel with my family to Japan, finding information was hard, and the information found was not right for our family and our needs. Luckily I had a Japanese friend, Takei-san, that sat down with me for a short beer, and a few minutes later he had planned out our entire trip on a napkin. It was very easy for him, as a local he knew exactly where we should go. All I did was tell him my Who? When? Where? What? And he did the rest. While visiting, we had a few experiences where we were the only foreigners in the area, and those where the best places we visited in our trip. Coming back home, I realized that everyone should have a local to help them plan their trip

Yoni Passwell
