Describe the company – the elevator pitch …

Digital marketing is all about traffic, no matter what device you’re on. That is where Traffic Media comes in: we get you heard by creating the best content possible! We specialise in providing quality content across a range of channels, including social media, blogs, interviews, research, video and more. You run your business, we develop your brand, you increase your sales. It’s that simple!

How are you different?

If you have great content, people will stop and listen. By combining social media management and the development of thought leadership material, Traffic Media goes a step beyond other content marketing agencies. Between them, Julian and Garvan have 30 years’ experience in media and communications in wide-ranging areas, including technology, travel, food, arts, culture, media, sport and public affairs.

Why will the company / product do well?

Our expertise in managing and developing brand awareness in highly competitive marketplaces is particularly useful for entrepreneurs who just don’t have the time to do it themselves. For business owners who are established that bit longer, we help them become thought leaders in their sector through the development of more detailed content pieces, such as interviews, blogs and opinion pieces. Our focus extends from newly-launched businesses to well-established brands, which gives us a firm foothold in the marketplace.

Where are you based?

All over the known universe, but from Sandymount in Dublin 4.

When was the company launched?

This year!

What have been your biggest wins to date?

We have had huge success promoting really cool new food businesses such as Alchemy Juice Co and Joe’s Coffee. We work with a range of small companies across all sectors, helping them get their voice heard among the traffic.

What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?

We are looking to attract small and medium-sized companies in all sectors. We offer a personal, hands-on service which is what businesses want – and need – these days.

Tell us about your team?

Garvan Grant is a writer and editor with more than 25 years’ experience in various parts of the media. He was deputy chief sub-editor of The Sunday Business Post for 14 years and also wrote its hugely popular PostMortem column for 10 years. He subsequently worked at The Irish Times as a journalist, editor and headline writer. He is also the author of 2015’s best-selling The Trueish History of Ireland. He also worked in online content for both papers.

Julian Fleming is an editor and writer with over 11 years’ experience in the media and communications sectors. Most recently, Julian was Communications Manager for travel-technology company CarTrawler and, previously, also served as Communications Manager for Vancouver-based technology firm BuildDirect. Julian was also a journalist, editor and writer for The Sunday Business Post from 2007 to 2013.

What are you long-term plans for your product /company?

Our goal is to position Traffic Media as the country’s premier social media and thought leadership management agency.

What are your favourite tech gadgets?

We are locked into our iPhones 24/7… and sometimes even more often!!

What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?

A hoverboard would be nice.

Why do you do what you do?

We love writing and we love helping people who are passionate about their businesses get heard. It is so gratifying for us!!

How do people get in touch with you?
