How are you different?
Without getting into a features war what makes us truly different is that we have 3 fantastic products that integrate together seamlessly and anything else we build in the future will have the same ability. You can use our products on their own or have them all work together which is really cool.

Why will the company / product do well?
I think we’ll do well because we listen to what our users want. We are very transparent with them and place a lot of emphasis on the feedback they give us. I think the thing that makes us different will also make us do well too. Having the products you use work together is a big bonus.
Where are you based?
We’re based in Blackpool in Cork City and so far have no complaints. No matter how big we grow Cork will always be HQ. We may have to open up offices in other parts of the word for logistical reasons but Cork is where we started and where we hope to continue – it has a lot to offer.

When was the company launched?
We started building our first product (Teamwork Projects) in 2007 while still managing our clients for our web development agency that started nine years previous to that. By January 2009 we were working full time on Teamwork Projects and sold off the consultancy business.
What have been your biggest wins to date?
We have released 2 new products this year and both of those have been milestone moments for us. We have some really well known companies around the world using our software which is a nice vote of confidence. The introduction of an enterprise plan on Teamwork Projects was also a turning point for us.

What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?
The majority of our users come from small to medium businesses. The software that we build is really versatile so there is no limit to the industries it can be used in. Since we introduced the Enterprise plan we have seen an increase in the number of larger companies using us.
Tell us about your team?
We have a great team here and the number of employees is growing by the week. We’re made up mainly of software developers split into product teams. Each team has a product lead. Then we have the support team, marketing and finance teams. We’ve doubled our staff in the last year and we continue to grow. We’re alway on the lookout for developers. We have a really great culture too so anyone interested in a change of scenery I would suggest looking into Teamwork.com 🙂
What are you long term plans for your product / company?
We have big plans for Teamwork.com. Firstly we’re hoping to find a new premises soon to cater to our growing team so that will be very exciting. Aside from making our current products even more feature rich hopefully the next 5 years will see us knock out another couple of products that will complement our existing software. The dream would be to get to $100 million recurring revenue by 2020.
What are your favourite tech gadgets?
I love my Iphone. I can’t go anywhere without it to be honest and I’d feel a bit lost if I didn’t have it.
