Tandem HR Solutions offers a means to embrace the new era for performance management. We believe great performance is powered by coaching and trusted feedback. Through facilitating ongoing feedback, Tandem delivers a powerful means of facilitating employees to receive high quality regular feedback, while ensuring that Managers have the skills to deliver it effectively.
Not every people manager is a born coach and varying capabilities in coaching can lead to unpredictable results. Tandem is designed to develop managers to deliver the kind of insightful feedback that really drives performance, bringing a consistency to the quality of coaching across your line management.
How are you different?
Tandem not only provides a tool to provide feedback, but can equally assess the quality of the feedback received. Through an analysis of the patterns of feedback Tandem provides coaching reports to support Managers to become even better coaches, with insightful coaching tips that support their development.
Why will the company / product do well?
Tandem has already seen huge momentum on the marketplace. Having only launched to the market on March of 2016, Tandem has already been taken on by some of the most progressive employers, with enthusiasm, and has now just over 750 people on the platform. A lot of people are searching for new ways to replace the old school practices of performance management, Tandem provides that answer, with an intuitive and easy to implement tool that will drive a new era of growth and development for people. Winning the most prestigious award in the industry at HR Tech Congress, the judges stated that Tandem HR Solutions has what it takes to take on the HR tech industry and truly disrupt the status quo.

Where are you based?
We are based in the NDRC, in the Digital Exchange, Dublin.
When was the company launched?
We established the Company in 2015 but officially launched with Tandem in March 2016

What have been your biggest wins to date?
Winning HR World Tech Congress disruptHR award was pretty big for us and opened a lot of doors to customers, partners and investors, we are still seeing the benefits from that one. In a start-up environment every client is a win and we are delighted that even against stiff competition we have won such prestigious clients with globally recognised brand names organisations.
What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?
We are attracting and hope to continue to attract mid to large scale Organisations who have progressive employee engagement practices and want to foster a culture of feedback and development in their organisations.
Tell us about your team?
My co founder Jim O’Brien has had a long career in consultancy specifically focused on the areas of Performance Management and People Development. Jim established his own consultancy practice People Partners in 2005, building on his previous 10 years’ consultancy experience with global HR and Training consultancies Hay Group and Mercuri International. Jim’s qualifications include a Masters in Organisation Behaviour.
Clare Bonham (Chief Technology Officer and Joint-Founder) has led the Global HR Technology Team at Telefonica over the past 8 years. Having started her career in PR and Communications Clare’s unique ability to combine communications and technology facilitated her journey to instigate and embed a global SAP rollout, accompanied by an in-house portal strategy. Prior to Telefonica, Clare held roles in PR and Communications with ANZ and Daimler Chrysler. Clare holds a Bachelor in Business Studies from the Swinburne University of Technology, Australia.
As for me, (Aisling Teillard), I am HR all the way. I was the former HR Director for O2, prior to that I led the European HR Shared Services centre for Telefoncia and was HR Director to SAP prior to that. I’ve over 25 years experience working across industries and roles in the HR area. I’ve spent a few years consulting in HR also, specialising in performance management and organisational behaviour practices. That’s also the area that I specialised in for my research Masters and primary degree.
What are you long term plans for your product / company?
Long term we would like to be the number one feedback and coaching tool of choice for mid to large scale organisations.
What are your favourite tech gadgets?
I’m trying to keep gadget free these days but I have to admit addiction to my iphone!
What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?
I’d take a Beats Solo3 if I could!
