Describe the company –

Professional Security is the Uk’s largest security magazine which is focussed on all types of electronic security and Guard issues. It was established in 1990 and has a circulation in print of over 10,000 copies per month. Likewise the magazine also goes out to 50,000 electronically via twitter, linked or our own newsletters. In recent years we have put together some quarterly regional road shows that feature some 60 exhibitors and a conference programme of industry professionals.

How are you different?

We are independent and unique in our offering. Each magazine and show brings a number of disciplines across the security sector and reach end users, installers and specifiers.

Why will the company / product do well?

The shows do very well as its an opportunity to see and discuss various ways of securing property and people. There is a wealth of knowledge and experts within the shows and featured in each magazine.

Where are you based?

We are based in the UK, have been trading since 1990 so intend to be trading still in 2090.

When was the company launched?

1990

What have been your biggest wins to date?

Beating off the competition, when we started back in the 90”s there were 7/8 magazines in our sector now there is only 2/3

What type of people are you trying to attract to your product?

End users – people who purchase security systems, services and products,

Installers/integrators – People who resell products, services and systems,

Consultants – People who specify security systems, services and products,

Police and others – people who recommend security systems. services or products

Tell us about your team?

For the largest Security publication in the security sector we have a relatively small team

Editor in Chief, (co-owner) Managing Director (Co-owner), Sales manager, Editor, General manager, Graphics designer, Event manager, Credit controller, and Administrator

What are you long term plans for your product / company?

To continue to grow the business particularly in the event area.

What are your favourite tech gadgets?

I am a keen apple fan, so like my apple products, we have also produced an app for IOS so that our magazine can be read electronically.
