Business Showcase : Prime Trust

Describe the company – the elevator pitch …

Prime Trust is a technology-driven financial institution that provides financial infrastructure solutions for the digital economy. We power exchanges, OTC desks, portals, platforms, broker-dealers, investment advisors, stablecoins, and others with smart API solutions to create world-class, compliant financial services at scale. As a trust company and qualified custodian, we provide FIAT and token custody, funds processing, AML and KYC compliance, and transaction technology. Our mission is to deliver financial services that make institutional and retail transactions in digital assets achievable, frictionless, and compliant. Our APls provide the infrastructure to open accounts, make asset deposits, initiate disbursements, perform KYC & AML, manage securities escrow, confirm balances, and pull reports.

How are you different?

Prime Trust views itself as a technology company first…and a financial institution second. We are the only company of our kind that has the level of technology combined with financial regulation that allows us to be a complete one-stop shop for our customers. We make it really easy for people to do business and build businesses on top of our financial services stack, and deliver them seamlessly via API for a variety of different contexts. No other trust company, bank or brokerage firm has ever done that.

Why will you do well?

We put our clients at the forefront of everything and they drive our agenda and roadmap. We listen to our customers, receive feedback, and build our products and financial technology around their needs and what the market demands. Businesses continue to come to us because they know that our financial technology is built to meet the demands of their business and keep them compliant with regulators. And, we will continue to innovate our product offering and anticipate and facilitate the needs of our customers. To accomplish this we’ve raised money from a core of industry investors, and have built an extraordinary team of people that are working collaboratively to achieve our goal of building a next-generation financial instutution.

Typical customers include crowdfunding platforms, exchanges, OTC desks, broker-dealers, real-estate syndicators, stablecoins, ICOs, STOs, and financial market makers.

What tips would you give to others looking to build their business?

If you believe in what you’re doing enough to convince others to invest in it, then you need to go all-in and commit full-time to the venture. And never underestimate the time (and money it will take to develop software.

Tell us about your team?

At Prime Trust, we have some of the world’s most talented engineers, thought leaders, and executives shaping the future of finance. What are your plans for the future?

We will continue to write fintech software and provide trust and banking services that others can leverage to build businesses across a wide variety of industries – from crowdfunding to cryptocurrency to real estate to trading & markets to funds processing and global settlements.
