POWR is an eHealth wellbeing tool that simulates a face-to-face consultation with an occupational health psychologist. A collaboration between Imagine Health (clinical psychologists) and Groupschemes (employee engagement software developers), it’s the first software of its kind in Europe.
Users assess six key areas of wellbeing, utilise personalised behavioural management plans and learn how to apply small changes to their everyday life, improving overall health, wellbeing, and performance.
How are you different?
There’s two big things that make us stand out.
First, POWR is a HR tool! Our clients are business and corporations, and our users are employees. The tool not only offers a unique and personal experience for the user but it also aggregates the anonymised data, generating company-wide wellbeing reports for HR.
Secondly, we’re the only ones addressing mental health in the workplace. There are some great technologies out there, wearables etc. which are addressing physical fitness and activity but POWR is the only software in Europe addressing mental and physical health.

Why will the company/product do well?
Depression, stress, and anxiety are on the rise. It’s estimated that by 2021 occupational stress will be the largest cause of absenteeism and decreased productivity in the workplace. Employers recognise this trend and the associated costs. They are looking outside of conventional wellness programs for effective solutions and POWR offers something new and effective.

When was the company launched?
What have been your biggest wins to date?
Last year was very exciting. Launching with our first client was huge, it reaffirmed our confidence in the tool and its outcomes. From there the year was a whirlwind of new hires, new clients, and new updates. Probably the most exciting was signing a reseller agreement with Benflo in the US.

What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?
Our clients are SME’s and Enterprise organisations from various industries. We are connecting with users through their place of work so we see a lot of diversity in user profiles. People range from 18-60, we have almost as many male users as female (which is a surprise) and there is a wide range of professions. It’s great to see!
Tell us about your team?
We have an amazing team who are all very passionate about what we are doing. Our own team at POWR, and our colleagues in Groupschemes and Imagine Heath share resources and knowledge. We’re lucky to have such diversity of skills and experience. We range from 22 – 60yrs old and the team includes psychologists, developers, designers, sales, marketing, researchers, customer service and the odd intern.

What are your long-term plans for your product / company?
We have an exciting product road map and a lot of ambition to grow beyond the UK and Ireland. The US this year will be a main aim. We already have a US reseller agreement in place with Benflo.com so driving sales in that market is a priority.
What are your favourite tech gadgets?
I’m a big cyclist, so definitely the Garmin for my bike.
What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?
We’d love to integrate some wearable technology, it’s on our road map so we hope to make that happen this year.
