Business Showcase : Nuacom

By @SimonCocking

Describe the company – the elevator pitch …

We are Nuacom. Our goal is to make your business communication more efficient, flexible and affordable. We provide reliable IP phone systems (also known as cloud phone systems or hosted phone systems) for all kind of businesses. The service is powered by VoIP (voice over IP) technology and cloud computing, which open up a whole new world of opportunities. Switching to cloud telephony is easy: sign up to our service, plug in the handsets into your Internet connection, start making/receiving calls instantly.

How are you different?

Our phone system is based on new technologies and advanced features. You get a wide range of options and unified communication solutions like: hosted phone system, IVR system (or auto attendant), call recording, call queues, voicemail, advanced reporting, SMS tools, mobile app for iOS & Android, integration with popular platforms and much more. We can firmly affirm that this is one of the most versatile phone systems in Ireland. Additionally, we provide professional customer support via multiple channels (chat, email, phone) as this is one of our top priorities. We really care about our customers and their businesses.

Why will the company / product do well?

Because it’s flexible, easy to set up and use + it reduces the price of your business communication by around 50%. You reduce significantly your upfront investment (no additional charges for equipment, line rental and support). Traditional phone systems are obsolete and expensive, our mission is to deliver a better system and help businesses get the most of it. We are very confident in our service and offer 30 days money back guarantee. So far, didn’t have any refund requests.

Where are you based?

We are based in Maynooth, the exact location is: Block B, Maynooth Business Campus, Co. Kildare, Ireland, feel free to drop by our office for a cup of tea/coffee, we are always happy to discuss new business opportunities.

When was the company launched?

We started in 2009 as MyCleverphone and since then we’ve been providing hosted phone systems for a lot of businesses. This year, we decided to re-brand our service. There are multiple reasons behind this exercise: our cloud based services evolved, the system got a broader range of features, the company expanded. The new brand called “Nuacom” (“nua” means new and “com” means communication) better represents our service, vision and future plans. This re-branding is the result of our company’s evolution and commitment.

What have been your biggest wins to date?

Developing the whole platform was and still is a challenging and interesting process. We built a very stable and robust infrastructure (99.99% uptime in the last 12 months, core processing equipment and software located in ISO27001 certified local datacenters). It’s a pleasure for us to bring tech innovation to business communication and help businesses grow.

What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?

We are mainly targeting small enterprises (2-20 users) and medium enterprises (20-60 users). These are attracted by advanced features, savings, flexibility and reliability of our cloud based service. They get unlimited calls to Irish and UK landlines, local or international phone numbers, high-quality business IP phones and tons of advanced features. Our system is suitable for any kind of businesses: shops, restaurants, offices, agencies, solicitors, manufacturers, local and regional companies (with offices in multiple locations), etc. Due to scalability of the system, we’re also targeting large enterprises (more than 60 users), inbound/outbound contact centres and other corporations looking for custom solutions.

Tell us about your team?

We’re a team of passionate IT professionals who always innovate and deliver clever solutions. This service is our passion, so we are constantly working on it and improving it. We’re experts in our field and are in a continuous development process. The team is comprised of professionals with 10+ years of experience in telecom industry and a strong technical background.

What are you long term plans for your product / company?

We are looking to diversify our cloud related solutions, integrate the system with multiple apps and platforms, expand the re-seller/partnership program and open up to 20 new jobs in the next 2 years. Additionally, we are planning to expand to UK and other markets.

Anything else you’d like to add / we should have asked?
