How are you different?
We’re the only full service media intelligence company in the country that is 100% Irish. We provide print, radio, TV, web & social media monitoring services which uniquely positions us as a go-to provider for these services in Ireland. Our Media Analysis service has also grown fivefold in the past 3 years, and this has allowed us to become an integral part of the communications mix for many of those organisations who work closely with us.

Why will the company / product do well?
Newsaccess has already achieved a lot, and we expect to continue to achieve for many years to come because we are in an industry that is destined for huge growth, in both the short and long term. Media Intelligence agencies across the globe are seeing an increase for demand from clients who want to better understand the results of their PR efforts and realign their compass where necessary. Our services provide invaluable insights that can only be achieved through high end qualitative work, and the PR industry is really beginning to see the value in working smarter to achieve results that make the greatest possible impact for their organisations. In an ever evolving media landscape there is no substitute for concrete information to assist in decision making.
Where are you based, how is the broadband? How long will you stay there?
We’re based on 5 St Andrew Street in Dublin 2 (beside the Trocadero restaurant). We have excellent broadband and we work with several providers to ensure that our systems never suffer a complete broadband outage.

What have been your biggest wins to date?
There are so many great organisations we work with that it’s hard to pick, but some of those great organisations we have the pleasure to call our clients include Diageo, Tesco, Danone and The National Lottery.
What type of people are you trying to attract to your product?
We’re interested in PRs and marketers mainly. The majority of our clients are in-house but we also work with the majority of PR agencies in the country to some extent. Tell us about your team? There are close to 40 people on our team with some very diverse backgrounds. Many of us have backgrounds in media monitoring, marketing and journalism. As we’re in such a niche industry, there’s no requirement to have any particular background or qualification, but a fresh approach and can do attitude is key for us.
What are you long term plans for your product / company?
Our long term plan is to grow the Media Intelligence industry in Ireland as a whole, and to educate our clients as to the benefits of measuring their PR performance in order to benchmark their success. We also see huge potential for overseas growth, particularly in the areas of web and social media intelligence.
What are your favourite tech gadgets?
Tough one – it’s a toss between my Sonos system at home or my Google Chromecast.
What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?
I wish I could use an Apple watch to assist me during workouts, but I rarely have time for the gym, hence the reason it’s a “wish”!
