Describe the company – the elevator pitch …

Thanks, let us tell you about KICKICO . All of us have a friend or two, sometimes even dozens, who have a fantastic idea and skills but no funding to implement this idea. Years ago those entrepreneurs would go to a bank or a VC firm but rarely successfully.

So, when crowdfunding appeared that was like wild dreams come true. And with the start of ICOs era, entrepreneurial craze went completely out of control.

And while those are amazing possibilities to raise funding there are still lots of problems with the way things operate right now –  high fees, geographical limitations, security issues, no quality control of the campaigns; the list goes on.

In his book, Zero to One, Peter Thiel one of PayPal’s co-founders, emphasized that there’s no need to start anything unless it’s a completely new or something improved by ten times. So we went for the second option and created KICKICO – crypto crowdfunding platform powered by blockchain and smart contracts with an intuitive interface, for any types of projects, for any geography, with the own system for crypto currency fluctuation protection and self-managed community with gamification principles implemented.

Me and my team came up with this idea because we are founders and proactive participants of crowdfunding movement ourselves, so we know in the vivid details what this community needs and what is lacking to ensure campaigns success.

Thanks to new technologies, especially Ethereum, now we can do something radically different, readily accessible, and truly democratic.

How are you different?

Currently, no solution on the global market allows implementing three crypto fundraising models on a single platform. With KICKICO it is possible to start three types of campaigns – ICO, crowdfunding, and crowd investing.

In the field of crypto fundraising, we are also distinguished with a unique interface and usability.

We are proud of our idea of KICKONOMY – self-managed community, which includes backers and project owners and win-win relations connecting them.  Community itself will define the course of life on the platform. Its members will pick moderators, promote platforms “favorites” (the most liked campaigns) etc.

We also shall have our own KICKICO university at the platform –  our free online educational video materials about ICOs, community currencies, and the life on the platform for all the members.

Why will the company/product do well?

 Well, I like how Clif High put it in his report, analyzing KICKICO’s perspectives: “A very favorable start in a very good space. The prospects for KICKICO are better than most of their competitors in this area of CryptoSpace”

Where are you based?

KICKICO  is registered in Singapore. We have offices in Russia, representation in Hungary and US. But we strive to be global. And in a sense, we’ve already achieved that – even before ICO we receive 20-30 draft campaigns from entrepreneurs based all over the world.

When was the company launched?

The idea of the platform appeared three years ago and evolved over the course of the time,  underwent a lot of changes — initially, it was a hybrid of network marketing with crowdfunding, where authors could create their campaigns only after they supported others. Technologies, however, progress at an incredible rate, which results in the appearance of things that drastically change everything, such as blockchains and smart contracts. So, I would say that officially KICKICO, with basic functionalities working, was launched on the day of our pre-ICO campaign start – on the 28th of July 2017.

What have been your biggest wins to date?

I’m very proud of our team – they are all very dedicated and talented people. And we are grateful that managed to get on board team from Qoin, including Roel Wolfert, Bancor’s currency advisor.

Our pre-ICO was a success as well.  We achieved campaign’s goal within one day or so (2000 ETH), and after Clif High’s report with analysis of our coin we reached the cap of 5000 ETH almost immediately, and we are still receiving tons of emails from people questioning when they can buy some more KickCoins again.

What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?

Anyone who is full of great ideas and need help with making those a reality,  who is interested in making the world a better place and who is eager to learn and prosper on top of that.

What tips would you give to others looking to build their business?

Don’t give up and think how you can make things better.

Tell us about your team?

For now, it’s more than 20 bright and talented people, very passionate about what we are trying to achieve. We have amazing marketers, great developers, awesome designers. And all of them are bubbling with energy and ideas how to make KICKICO work at the full capacity.

What are your long term plans for your product/company?

Only in the US alone, there are around six million solo-preneurs who are registering their businesses every single day. All of them need funding.  And how about all the rest countries in the world? Maybe numbers are lower, but the trend is still the same.

So we are planning to be on the market as long as there are people who are interested in making something innovative, solve the problem, make people’s lives easier, etc.

What are your favourite tech gadgets?

Smartphone with a big screen, so I could comfortably work on it 🙂

Neurointerface to get rid of the smartphone.

Anything else you’d like to add/we should have asked?

 I’d like to make another point on the importance of what we are trying to achieve for the whole crowdfunding industry.  In general, traditional “crowdfunding 1.0” is getting not good enough… painfully bad. Centralized crowdfunding didn’t work out with all the rules and limitations.  And people truly need that special  place on the internet where anyone from the planet Earth, who has a good idea and skills, can learn, grow, have fun and get funded. KICKICO – is that place,  a decentralized cryptocrowdfunding platform, the main purpose of which – to serve the community.
