IRP Commerce is a software development company that has transacted in excess of £1 billion for companies based in Ireland that are on our IRP e-commerce platform. Collectively they have sold directly to over 170 countries worldwide.

How are you different?
The IRP technology stack is totally focused on sales and long-term profitability. Ecommerce is just a sales channel and everything we do is about making our clients money and maintaining this growth long-term growth potential. Compound growth is the most powerful force in business.
Why will the company / product do well?
We have a proven track record of success in ecommerce. IRP technology has helped transact a significant volume of Ireland’s e-commerce business. We have been able to apply what we learned in the market to create an environment where companies can take the opportunity for growth. This has been achieved through understanding of the customer, overcoming blocks to sale such as currency and language, which has lead to customer conversions in more than 170 countries across the world.
Where are you based?
Our head office is in the Northern Ireland Science Park, in Belfast’s Titanic Quarter. We are considering new premises in Dublin as the number of key clients grows in the south of Ireland.
When was the company launched?
The company was officially set up in 2005.
What have been your biggest wins to date?
To work with Chain Reaction Cycles so closely and get them on the global map is a great achievement. Currently we work with some of the UK’s largest online retailers such as CampingWorld.co.uk and SourceBMX.com. We have just signed a deal with one of the UK’s largest online beauty distributors, which is a great boost for the team. In Ireland we are delighted to be working with Magee’s, which is a fantastic Irish fashion brand.

What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?
The IRP has identified and maximised the sales potential for companies in a variety of sectors including sports, vehicle parts, health, and beauty, fashion. The same techniques work for virtually every market. The IRP technology will work for retailers, manufacturers and distributors. We don’t like to limit turnover to a figure, but it helps if the company is already online and generating a decent turnover or have outgrown their current platform and want to re-platform.
Tell us about your team?
The IRP Commerce team is made up of product developers, a marketing team, and a commercial team. We are actively recruiting as we scale the business and the number of clients using our technology grows. We also have developed our own ‘IRP World’ network, which is a wider bank of experts that provide digital marketing support for clients.
What are you long term plans for your product / company?
At the start of this year we launched our artificial intelligence feature, DeepAgent™. Two years in development, DeepAgent™ is exciting technology that analyses online data from customers’ e-commerce sites in order to learn the actions that lead to more sales and profitability. This area has huge potential and we think we can automate much of the complex areas of ecommerce – making success easier to attain. I have personally found AI a really interesting area to work in.
What are your favourite tech gadgets?
Away from work I am not really into gadgets! I suppose personally I do love using Apple technology – it is just so simple to use – but who doesn’t love Apple!
