IDEA Digital A contemporary, full service, digital agency in the heart of Dublin.

Describe the company – the elevator pitch …

IDEA Digital is an award winning, full service digital agency based in the heart of Dublin. We provide the perfect blend of digital services from consultancy to inbound marketing to search and display advertising. We launched in September this year as a sister company of IDEA, one of Ireland’s award winning, design and marketing agencies.

How are you different?

At IDEA Digital we don’t just provide a range of digital services, we solve problems, deliver solutions and develop strategies that deliver digital and revenue growth for businesses. We are able to deliver upon this promise as our team is made up of great individuals who are experts in their area and work together to form an extension of our client’s team. It’s a winning solution.

Ireland in particular has been very poorly serviced in terms of digital marketing and quality of strategy and content.  In fact,

91% of Irish SME websites cannot process sales (IEDR). With the increasing change in consumer behavior and growth in digital, there is a need for all companies to grow their digital platforms and a demand for digital agencies that can offer the full package. Our additional added benefit is our sister company IDEA, as it allows us deliver a 360 integrated approach on client projects where we can take one business idea and transform it into a brand with a go to market strategy and content that can be effectively executed through traditional and digital mediums.

Where are you based? How long will you stay there?

We are currently based in D2, the creative core of Dublin. Depending on the future demand of our clients who are entering global markets we may set up a second office in mainland Europe or Asia in the coming years. Watch this space.

When was the company launched?

After months of market research and business planning, we officially opened our doors in September 2015 and we’ve been flat out ever since. It has been an exciting journey so far as our portfolio and team is continually expanding. We launched at just the right time as Ireland’s economy is on the up and there is a greater recognition in the importance of digital towards ROI.

What have been your biggest wins to date?

It has been a busy few months for us and we have taken on some great clients. Three of our biggest wins to date were firstly the successful execution of a fully integrated, nationwide marketing campaign, delivered with IDEA and Startup Ireland for the Startup Gathering, which ran in 5 cities across Ireland over 5 days and involved over 490 events to promote Ireland’s start up ecosystem.

Secondly, we’re passionate about Dublin as the digital hub of Europe and recently developed smartdublin.ie for Dublin City Council.  This is just the beginning of a massive digital drive by the City and we’re very proud to be at the core of this strategy.

Finally, winning the “Best Website” at the DOTIE Net Visionary Awards in October for our work on Bloom, we’re excited for what 2016 will bring already.

What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?

We are looking at the technology sector to make up over 50% of our business, from startups setting out to larger MNC’s who are launching new products or are breaking into new markets. We also work a lot in property, finance, legal, retail and food.

Tell us about your team?

Our great people are the key to the success of IDEA Digital.

IDEA Digital, is headed up by Ciaran Flanagan and Elaine Kelly, who are supported by a great team of digital, marketing and UX experts.

Ciaran, set up IDEA in 1996 to spearhead a venture into the progressive new areas of web design, and advertising at the time and has since created a team of talented design and marketing specialists that now make an award winning Marketing and Design Company. As Chairman of the Docklands Business forum and a key driver behind leading technology and transformation projects such as Smart Dublin and Fuseum, Ciaran founded IDEA Digital to address the gap in digital expertise in the Irish market in order to bring Ireland to the forefront as a technology and startup hub globally.

Elaine returned to Ireland earlier in 2015 to build the strategy behind IDEA Digital. Before her return to the capital, Elaine spent 5 years working in the digital marketing realm on various ICT rollouts in Asian markets who have undergone a full technology leapfrog and have been early adopters for a variety of leading technologies. Elaine’s experience and passion for delivering business results through digital transformation is a key advantage to delivering innovative, digital solutions for Irish companies here and overseas.

“We want to capitalize on our teams combined experience and bring winning strategies to tech companies throughout Ireland and Europe and are working with a number of Tier One and Tier 2 companies to develop and boost the impact of their EMEA Digital strategies”

You can meet some of the team here: http://ideadigital.ie/about/. We work with passion and collaborate as a team of digital strategists, designers and technologists to understand opportunities available to our clients, and then we define a solution that will transform their business.
