Describe the company – the elevator pitch

HOPE Technik has been delivering world leading engineering solutions to clients demanding high-performance and unique technology since 2006. Headquartered in Singapore, our expertise begins from product conceptualization through to prototype development and finally commencing with mass production. Regardless of how unusual a project may be, our dedicated team of qualified engineers and technical staff are able to design a world-class solution and translate concepts into reality.

Why will the company / product do well?

HOPE Technik prides ourselves in having successfully delivered more than 400 end-to-end integrated solutions and produced a number of world-class products. With a complete in-house suite of engineering expertise covering mechanical, electrical, software and design engineering, as well as manufacturing capabilities, the company has demonstrated a niche ability to rapidly develop and prototype unique innovative solutions.

Through the years, we have built a strong foundation of fundamental problem solving by listening intently to the customers’ problem statements and striving to deliver novel solutions that overcome those challenges, turning concepts into realities.

What have been your biggest wins to date?

In 2012, HOPE Technik stood out to win an international tender to develop a SpacePlane demonstrator for Airbus. The SpacePlane, a revolutionary vehicle able to jet off to an altitude of 100 kilometres into space, can give more people an opportunity to experience firsthand the wonders of space. Under the agreement, engineers at HOPE Technik designed and manufactured the demonstrator plane’s airframe, avionics and user interface, to allow the testing of the aircraft’s aerodynamics and software systems. The project presented the company with an important opportunity to expand our portfolio and gain a strong international limelight.

In recent years, HOPE Technik’s Spider Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and SESTO Automated Guided Vehicle became accredited products under [email protected] The rigorous accreditation evaluation process and insightful findings were highly beneficial and have helped the company to review and refine our product positioning, business model and internal processes. Being accredited has also enabled us reach out to a broader audience to understand the market requirements and shorten our engagement processes with key stakeholders, especially with the local government agencies. The programme has been very valuable in accelerating our growth journey.

Our clients are typically searching for high-performance unique solutions to problems that do not have off-the-shelves solutions. They value the nimbleness HOPE Technik provides while delivering a quality solution or product.

We have a strong team of skilled and hands-on engineers, technicians and leaders with a firm commitment towards our clients. With a complete suite of engineers from mechanical, electrical, software and design disciplines forming more than half the team, our clients are assured of receiving the highest quality end to end solutions and well thought out products.

Our strong culture of engineering excellence, derived from a deep passion for engineering itself and meticulous attention to details, continue to attract the best people whom we nurture into thought leaders.

What are you long term plans for your product / company?

As we strive to expand the business globally with our current line of products, we want to consistently invest in research and development. In the long term, this will evolve into the establishment of an innovation centre for thought leadership and generation of new and exciting products. We want to attract like-minded companies to work with us in Singapore to develop innovative global products.

What are your favourite tech gadgets?

2D Lidar (light detector and ranging). It transforms the world of autonomous navigation.

What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?

Ultra-wideband positioning solution. It will fuel the next wave of localisation technology.

Anything else you’d like to add / we should have asked?

HOPE Technik’s strength lies in our ability to provide nimbleness, reasonable cost structure and a can-do attitude to our clients while delivering gold stand documentation and certification – things which are hallmarks of large firms.
