Describe the company – the elevator pitch…

GET Solutions is a solutions company specialising in energy reduction and management. We work with retail outlets to slash their energy costs through the installation of energy efficient equipment such as LED and then maintain those cost reductions through effective energy purchasing.

How are you different?

We are different in a number of key areas. The overall USP is that we provide a turnkey solution for our customers. We help them choose energy efficient equipment to suit their premises. This can range from quality LED lighting to specialised refrigeration technologies. We can also provide retrofitting equipment to existing chillers to reduce energy wastage. Our solutions are driven by software so we can view a commercial premises via our dashboard to monitor consumption and recommend when alterations and adjustments should be made to positively impact costs. Finally, we are skilled at understanding utility contracts and capable of selecting the best energy provision to suit each individual customer.

Why will the company/product do well?

We can offer companies a reduction in energy costs in the region of 30%. The other key difference is that we are backed by a UK head office with 13 years in business. We are going nowhere except up!

Where are you based?

In Ireland we are headquartered in Kildare but we have installation teams and professionals all over the country,

When was the company launched?

The company was launched in 2014

What have been your biggest wins to date?

Every win is our biggest win – every customer deserves to be our biggest win and achieve the greatest savings possible.

However, we are very pleased to announce that we recently became an Affinity Partner with Convenience Stores & Newsagents Association of Ireland, CSNA, the only independent retail-driven trade organisation in Ireland. Their membership runs to the thousands of independent retail shops and agencies across Ireland and we are currently working with them to reduce their costs. Each shop might be a single entity but together they become one of the biggest retail shopping groupings in the country.

What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?

Currently we are working with SME retailers who need to cut their costs. As energy costs rise worldwide it becomes increasingly difficult for SMEs to meet their day-to-day operating costs. At a minimum we can reduce their costs by 30%. So you could say we are attracting people who want to save money.

Tell us about your team?

Get Solutions is headed up by Charlie Grendon, who has over 35 years’ experience in corporate management and logistics, is on the Government Committee on Energy, and is also a Board Member of the British Irish Trade Alliance [BITA]. He is ably supported by Manmeet Abrol in Finance & Technology, John Quirke in Engineering & Sales, Darragh Geoghegan in Procurement and Sean Gannon in Commercial department.

What are you long term plans for your product/company?

Right now we in the business of reducing energy costs through quality equipment, smart software and clever procurement of energy but in the future we are applying our knowledge in management companies and their costs into a range of areas from utilities to water, from leasing to insurance and many more areas, especially where the practice of specialist bulk buying can result in spectacular discounts.
