Describe the company – the elevator pitch

GeoPal connects field workers, remote assets and IoT sensors, allowing companies with mobile workforces to leverage technology to connect the field and the office. We call it a Mobile Workforce Management Solution that increases companies’ Productivity, Profitability and Compliance.

How are you different?

 Our clients typically have a set of complex, constantly evolving needs and need a product that can be customisable and evolve to reflect those needs. Most off-the-shelf solutions are not flexible enough and bespoken solutions cost too much and take too long to develop. We provide the best of both worlds: flexibility and speed, at a fraction of the cost.

Why will the company/product do well?

We deliver customisable software solutions at a fraction of the standard cost and time: we are a truly agile company, always keeping an eye on the latest technological developments and, most importantly, we are customer-centric.

Where are you based?

Our headquarters is in Dublin, literally across the street from Temple Bar. We have offices in Madrid, London and NYC.

When was the company launched?

GeoPal was founded in 2011.

What have been your biggest wins to date?

We were able to build a platform and an app that are truly customisable: having that level of flexibility was what allowed us to then design and deliver solutions that work across 10 different industries, from utility services, to smart city management and home healthcare. How many software solutions are being seamlessly used by both Water management companies, county councils, facilities and property management companies and home healthcare?

What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?

Our current focus is in Utility companies and Industrial Support Services’ companies in Ireland, the UK, North America and Spain.

Tell us about your team?

 Our team is composed of experienced experts in mobile technology and solutions’ design, with a wide range of backgrounds. Gerard O’Keeffe, CEO and Paul Coyle, Commercial Director, had co-founded Eirborne Text Promotions before selling it in 2008. In 2011, Sean O’Reilly co-founded GeoPal as CTO, together with O’Keeffe and Coyle.

What are your long term plans for your product/company?

Our goal is to take companies through a 3-step Digital Transformation process that sees them leveraging their people, technology and business processes.

 What are your favourite tech gadgets? 

AWS’ IoT Button, because you can pretty much program it to your heart’s wishes, Libelium’s Wasp Mote IoT sensor for its flexibility and environmental friendliness and Ecom’s intrinsically safe phones, because they make it possible to use GeoPal in the most seemingly inhospitable environments, such as mines.

 What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?

It would be great to use Google Glass for field service.
