Describe the company the elevator pitch

Local businesses are struggling to compete with large retailers and e-commerce giants. These local shops rarely have the resources needed to stay in the game. An innovative solution is therefore required to allow them to maintain a competitive edge. FlipNpik’s new blockchain-based collaborative social media provides a way to accomplish this goal.

By bringing users, small businesses and service providers together, FlipNpik’s 360 ecosystem create a real relationship that benefits all participants. Local shops benefit from increased visibility, consumers can find special offers and win real rewards in return for their positive actions, while ambassadors partners can participate actively in the promotion of their favorite business and be remunerated by merchants.

How are you different?

Globalization and centralization of industries and wealth has led to disloyal competition where only main actors benefit from the value created. FlipNpik offers a unique and innovative ecosystem in which the created value is shared among all partners : consumers, merchants and ambassadors. We think that every contribution counts and should be rewarded in a way or another.

Here is how we are different.

Why will you do well?

Because our project is not coming out of nowhere: FlipNpik was tested in the Montreal metropolitan area and a proof-of-concept was established. We’re launching an ICO to integrate blockchain technology with the FNP application to improve our international deployment and to offer businesses a more secure, accessible and affordable solution. And we must say that what sets us apart is that we will achieve our project, regardless of the outcome of the fundraising.

We will succeed because we have surrounded ourselves with a competent team. FlipNpik can count on many experts, including experts in finance, algorithm creation, content creation, marketing and technology. The project has also received the support of the best cryptocurrency advisors as well as specialized companies that have already proved their competence and success in previous ICO.

Where are you based?

Our head office is in France and the operational office in Switzerland.

When was the company launched?

FlipNpik has been in development since mid-2016, and over $2M were already invested.

What have been your biggest wins to date?

We are proud to present a collaborative model offering local businesses a competitive advantage while compensating active user/ambassadors for their contribution.

We are proud to have succeeded in building a unique Ecosystem where the created value is shared equitably among all active users and dedicated to reduce the digital gap between local businesses and other big players.

Thanks to this model, and while we are only in the early stages of our launch into the competitive world of ICOs, we have been able to partner with the best companies specializing in cryptocurrency. FlipNpik relies on the support and involvement of :

  • Chaineum, the European leader in strategy and advice for cryptocurrency fundraising,
  • AmaZix, the world’s leading community management firm in blockchain
  • And some of the best ICO experts recognized by their peers.

We are also very happy with the welcome FlipNpik received from small businesses who tested the services in Montreal. Merchants were satisfied with the application and assistance provided by FlipNpik North America.

Who are you trying to attract to your product?

FlipNpik is tailored for several audiences:

  • Consumers who care and want to get actively involved and encourage local economy and neighborhood prosperity while they are rewarded and remunerated for it,
  • Millennials and creative minds with social media skills who want to promote their favorite business and have a real partnership with their local merchant,
  • Business owners interested to discover a new way to increase their visibility and talk about their business,
  • Cryptocurrencies enthusiasts,
  • Investors in future technology.

What tips would you give to others looking to build their business?

  • Build a swat team, and get the best at what they do
  • Have a smart entourage

Tell us about your team?

Our team is led by Henri Harland, a former CEO of publicly listed corporations he built from the ground up. His vision and sense of entrepreneurship and execution helped one of his companies to become the first to extract and therapeutically exploit krill oil. Henri Harland built his legacy by creating and sharing value and seeks to follow the same steps for the FlipNpik ecosystem.

Our CTO is Serge Helou, worked as a software developer at Ericsson Canada before joining L’Oréal Canada as a business analyst and project manager. In the digital business IT team, he launched several e-commerce sites for the various brands of the group as well as one of the first online loyalty programs in the group. His experience helped him develop useful skills in digital technologies applied to retail commerce and in project management.

Richard Marganne, the President, served as COO (Chief Operating Officer) at the heart of the Oleosea Company in Lausanne prior to becoming CEO of Gobet Rütschi. This company, located in Geneva, was the first to realize the tram dressing in ecological matters throughout Switzerland. His experiences with street marketing will be precious for FlipNpik deployment.

We are proud to have about fifteen strategic collaborators working for FlipNpik to bring their expertise in business development, marketing, content creation, events, communication or algorithmic modeling. FlipNpik collaborates also with ICO experts who complete the team in the following topics : finance, blockchain, legal counsel, mobile business, PR and crypto-marketing.

What are your plans for the future?

Starting from Switzerland, FlipNpik will quickly deploy in Europe, particularly in France where operational offices are already setup. Partnerships will be established with local start-ups and applications to target then acquire users and merchants effectively. The main target is to build and dynamize the ecosystem and promote the use of the FNP token. In a medium-term, we will launch FlipNpik in different cities around the world.

Regarding the liquidity of the token, FlipNpik will list the FNP on the most popular secondary markets. Initially, the token will be transferable on Stellar and several platforms according to the deadlines that they impute to allow the inscription.

What are your favorite tech gadgets?

The office is clearly divided in two teams, creatives that couldn’t live without Apple products and executives that only swear by PC. But in the end we all find harmony around our juicing machine, our smart gym parcours and the Breville coffee machine. At FlipNpik, we are followers of a healthy lifestyle, responsible consumption and we are huge on collaborative approach. That’s why we are fans of our shared Spotify playlist that brings joy and motivation to our office every day.

What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?

We follow with great interest everything that could help merchants to better take the digital turn. For example, hardware devices that could facilitate cryptocurrency payments in businesses. Several prototypes have been proposed by the Stellar community and we are very excited about this.

We are also interested in any technology that helps improve the online consumer experience. That’s why we keep an eye on virtual reality and what it could bring in our consumption habits: visit of shops, product overview, games …

Anything else you’d like to add/we should have asked?

While citizens are increasingly wary of networks (including the scandal affecting Facebook recently), we believe it is time to give real added value to their online participation. We believe in creating and sharing value, and what’s better than the local economy to do it? We do not want to change the world with a magic wand. We have a project to do it, one neighborhood at a time, with the involvement of all actors: consumers, small businesses and creatives people. It is with this state of mind, and also with a well-honed plan, that we will succeed in transforming this project into something concrete that we will be able to see in our street corner.
