Clientrol is a Time, Client, Project and Request management solution for individuals, small business owners and freelance professionals to manage their clients, work flow and get paid for
every minute they work.

Time is precious. The two biggest challenge facing freelancers are getting paid for their time and managing their client communications. Clientrol helps to solves these problems and more. The product includes features for freelancers to manage their entire workflow from Time to Tasks to Projects, Files and Invoices. The product also includes a unique feature called: Client Plans, which are Prepaid, Timed or Unlimited. The Prepaid plan enables the client to purchase time in
before submitting a request, this means the freelancer will have payment and also the client will
be charged to the minute instead of the hour. This feature is designed for small jobs or for a new
clients, it can also be used for retainers or a block of support time.
How are you different?
I had a need and there was nothing available to do what I wanted so I decided to create it, I didn’t know where to start but I strongly believed in the concept, the product and I knew the

the client must have hours in their account before submitting requests. It is an All in One
including Project Management, Time Tracking, Client Management and Requests.

Why will the company / product do well?
I want the product to be the go to application for freelancers to manage their day and I have
over 15 years experience across the board and around the world but also engaging with others
before I embarked on this journey and found the same challenges were universal. This is just
the start, the product will grow with the users that use it.
I understand that designers and developers are busy people and they want things to work but
also have superior support and not get the runaround, this is integral to the product that I am
building, providing a high level of customer service to get users up and running.

When was the company launched?
V1 was a skinny version of the product and launched in 2014 as a Beta to test the waters and
my sanity. Within 1month I had over 100 users but it was only available as a desktop application so I needed to start again. Version 2, now released is a full saas product with free
trial and subscription options.
What have been your biggest wins to date?
I think getting a product to market without any support, grants or investment is my biggest win. I
challenged myself to see how far I could take it. Its an idea that I had for some time and to turn it
into a working product with customers using it around the world, I have achieved that.

What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?
It can be used by all business owners, web designers, developers, graphic designers, IT
consultants will get great use from it.
Tell us about your team?
I wanted to challenge myself getting this startup as far as I could on my own without any grants,
investors or giving away any equity. I was offered investment early on but I felt having someone
external would pivot the product to become something else and lose the original concept so I
said I would get it to market myself. It’s been a hard road doing everything, I’m responsible for
every detail of the product from the initial concept on a piece of paper to the design,
development and promotion. In the early stage, I didn’t have a clue where to begin, but I knew
deep down that I needed to make a start on it.
What are you long term plans for your product / company?
Time is Money and incredibly important to freelancers who are generally paid by the hour and
don’t have salaries but also Clients want to see how the time is spent working on requests and
projects. The feedback from users is that it is like having a virtual Assistant, Account Manager,
Customer Service agent and Financial controller all in one, it massively improves
communications on both sides and gives the user and client full control over projects.
Based on feedback from users and the community, the product will develop with new features
added to later versions. I have a long roadmap for future releases and will continue to improve
the product with community and user feedback.
