Cape Clear Island is a beautiful Island at the south western extreme of Ireland. Cape Clear Distillery will be the only whiskey and gin distillery on such a small island. What is there not to like ?

How are you different?

We have an outstanding site in an area of outstanding natural beauty and with a unique sub-tropical maritime climate that will produce a very distinctive whiskey.

Why will you do well?

Commitment and passion for our products, dogged determination, perseverance  and we have a great story to tell.

Where are you based?

West Cork, Ireland, close to the Fastnet Rock.

When was the company launched?

2017

What have been your biggest wins to date?

Full permission on a seashore site of outstanding natural beauty, fabulous brands, outstanding pristine water supply, some great physical assets and a committed team.

Who are you trying to attract to your product? 

We are trying to build a community of investors and supporters.

What tips would you give to others looking to build their business?

Take it one step at a time and celebrate every achievement along the road.

Tell us about your team?

We have a motivated and intelligent team that also share a good sense of humour. We hope that this comes through.

What are your plans for the future?

To grow the core business organically and to achieve the tourism potential of our great location.

What are your favourite tech gadgets?

Everything about my mobile phone.

Lots, but we also need people who can use them.
