BizTweet empowers corporations to automate their social communication whilst ensuring the message is both relevant and personal.
How are you different?
BizTweet is data driven, so that means the software analyses the data for each customer and based on that data provides the most appropriate automated response. If we take airlines/airports as an example; the push notifications that are currently sent to passengers treats everyone on the same flight the same, therefore they all get the same message. However my social profile is different to the person I am sitting next to on a plane, therefore we are all unique and therefore should be communicated to differently – in a manner that is both relevant and personal to the passenger.
Why will the company / product do well?
At the moment there are no competitors in our market, it is an area of massive growth. We’re initially focusing on airports who are generally behind airlines with their social engagement with passengers and need to catch-up or at least have something in place. A manual alternative 24×7 would be timely and costly.
Where are you based?
We’re based in the Rubicon which is on the C.I.T. Campus in Cork.
When was the company launched?
The company was founded at the end of 2010 but we didn’t start trading until Feb 2015. Effectively we were way ahead of the curve in 2010 so instead of developing a MVP we developed a full ready-to-market product, which we then launched once the market had caught up.

What have been your biggest wins to date?
All of our wins have been very special. Our first client was Dubai International Airport, the world largest International passenger airport so was probably the best first client we could have wished for. Soon London City Airport came on-board who are a lot smaller but dynamic and really bought into BizTweet and have seen some astonishing results. Melbourne International went live approximately two months ago and there deal meant that within a twelve month period we had gone from first customer to trading in three continents.
What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?
Our product fits most large corporations that want to communication to their customers. We quickly identified the travel sector as one where people need real-time information. After winning an IATA Passenger Innovation award we focused on airlines but have gain more traction with airports.
Tell us about your team?
Paul Brugger the Founder and CEO has twenty years’ experience in decisioning technology, using data the make decisions, working with blue chip institutions globally. Paul moved from the UK in 2008 to Ireland and started TIC in 2010. Paul was joined by Daniel Junyszk who started with the company as a C.I.T. intern in 2015 and is now a full time employee of the company. As our product is ready for market we can focus on implementations and as such have streamlined that process which means the company is and can remain very lean.

What are you long term plans for your product / company?
2016 will see us continue with our business development plans which will help us funding the scaling of the business. We are ahead of our sales target for 2016 with a strong pipeline so we will be in a position to further strengthen the team Q3/Q4. For the product we have already introduced some really innovation functional such as Dynamic Lists which brings some real cool benefits to our customers going beyond the typical “key word” search type applications. Next we are looking to broaden our reach by including more social platforms, we actually already have one in beta that will be rolled out very soon, we expect it to be a real game changer in airport communications! which is very exciting.
What are your favourite tech gadgets?
I don’t have too many gadgets other than my phone and my laptop, my favourite is my Surface tablet it’s pretty cool, does everything I need and ideal for travel and modern day business.
