Why will the company / product do well?
From the beginning, BillPro has taken a global approach to payments. We focus on introducing merchants to opportunities abroad by connecting even small businesses with relevant payment solutions worldwide. We view ecommerce as a “no borders” industry, so we’ve structured our business to support merchant growth worldwide, rather than just in local jurisdictions.
BillPro knows the struggle of a small business starting out, as we ourselves began as a small financial startup in Australia. When I became CEO, I made a commitment to grow our team, empower our leaders, and expand our services globally. I’m proud to say that because of the hard work and dedication of our team, we have expanded to multiple continents from Australia to Asia, Europe and the USA , opened new offices in London, Belgium, Amsterdam, and provide services to businesses worldwide.

Though we work with ecommerce merchants worldwide to offer our unique online payments services, we are headquartered in London UK, with business units in Asia, Australia, Europe and the USA.

BillPro was launched in 2008.
What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?
We work with small to medium sized ecommerce merchants or merchants that that are looking for a personalized experience.

Our team is really the biggest contributor to our huge success in such a short amount of time. We have focused on building a team that first of all understand our customer needs, shares our company’s values, ensuring that every employee is driven, trustworthy and open to taking on new challenges. Choosing quality employees is one of the most important skills a business owner can master. For me, confidence and a ‘can-do’ attitude is vital for any team member at BillPro.

What are the long term plans for your product / company?
BillPro opened cross-border payment services in Europe just recently, and we are already expanding our offerings in this region to include direct acquiring and issuing as well as banking and iBAN services. We are building a revolutionary payments platform for the ecommerce industry to roll out over the next year across Western Europe and then Eastern Europe. The company is also expanding both its Australian and European teams and we are in the process of adding new regional management teams in local European markets.
What are your favourite tech gadgets?
I’m a huge fan of tablets, but I mainly use them recreationally. Lately, playing advanced level games of Sudoku is something I’ve found to be almost meditative as it seems it is the only pastime that requires my full concentration and takes my mind off of work for a bit. I play it on my iPad and it gives me some time to decompress.
