Describe the company – the elevator pitch …
BeSecureOnline is different because we are going to keep things really simple for people visiting, buying from the site. The simple clear elegant pictures, videos words tell our story. We don’t want people having to understand the technology we are selling to buy it and benefit from it.
There is too much emphasis in the technology world on being impressive, fast or just plain new. Great online security product’s from reliable companies that just work, that’s us.

Why will the company do well?
Our ethos is to be simple, clear and really straightforward when dealing with people when presenting products, ideas and solutions. And we are starting with F-Secure SAFE from Helsinki.
We think With Virus, malware, stalking, bullying, cyber crime growing exponentially, we believe that people, especially parent will seek to protect themselves and their loved ones.
Where are you based?
Currently we are based in Dublin and London. That’s enough for the time being.

When was the company launched?
December 2015 and we have been ramping our sales since then.
What have been your biggest wins to date?
Cracking our first sales in Ireland over Christmas, then our first UK and international sales in January. It great watching something that you built from scratch come together and start producing Sales.
Last week, Enterprise Ireland awarded us an innovation voucher to work on an SEO project with DCU, Dublin City University. Getting seen and heard by Google is a huge challenge to any business, so any assistance from experts is vital. We expect to announce some major partnership collaborations in the UK Public Schools sector in March.
Here’s hoping that our greatest days lie ahead

What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?
A tiny tiny proportion of the device market place will do really nicely. But a really obvious audience is the parental control part of the smartphone market. It’s abundantly clear that there’s a societal issue to be addressed in the way kids, teenagers and young adult spend so much time online.
We want to help people enjoy and profit from their time online, safe from internet nasties, internet scammers, shopping and banking safely, free from virus and malware.
Tell us about your team?
At the moment, its 3 of us and we are expecting to expand the team especially to build presence in the UK which we regard as the home market. It’s myself, Graham Mulhern, I previously ran MXI Software for 20 years, Orla, my wife and Communications Director Kerry.
What are you long term plans for your product / company?
In the short term, we want to grow sales, introducing online protection and privacy products and technologies. And get ourselves to a position where we take of advantage of opportunities as they arise.
What are your favourite tech gadgets?
Whilst my MacBook & iPhone are amazing, they are just things that you use everyday and kudos to Apple for bringing us SIRI and all the little things that make life both easier and more complicated daily.
But my favourite gadget beyond any doubt is my DLSR camera Nikon DLSR D7100 camera & my very modest collection of lenses. It’s both uncomplicated and really clever two things I’ll never be. Fortunately there’s a tonne of stuff on the net to be help you use it better. I’ll never master it but its great to know that it’s there.
What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?
Extended battery life for all the modern toys, that would be great.
How do people get in touch with you?
We love hearing from people regardless even if they are cold calling sales. Phone No. is Dublin +353 (0)1 908 1588 or [email protected]
