Yesterday we kicked off our end of year review of all the excellent companies who have featured in our Business Showcase section to date.

Today in part 2 of our Business Showcase year in review, we continue to look back on the year with a recap of another 14 businesses who have featured.

15: Business Showcase:

aaNeon_Green_mailing_bags is a company which was set up by Robert English to supply you with everything you’d need for packaging times to ship. Based in Co. Longford, Robert set the company up when he noticed a gap in the market for these products.
We caught up with Robert to find out how this and his other companies are going.

16: Business Showcase: Collage Creative

collage-logo-1900px This week’s Business Showcase feature was on a web and graphic design company called Collage Creative. Based in Munster, the company is ran by creative duo Ralph and Conor.
We spoke with Ralph to find out more about the company.

 17: Business Showcase: MyDealDoc

MyDealDoc Logo JPEG MyDealDoc are an ambitious young Irish company who plan on releasing a suite of Apps all aimed at saving you money. Set up in February 2013 by Mike Morrissey and David Keenaghan, the first of those Apps, “BoozeDoc”, is available to download now.
We spoke with David to find out more about the company, the Apps and their future plans.

18: Business Showcase: An interview with 15 year old “Kid Tech” founder Harry McCann

"Kid Tech Courses" founder, Harry McCann. When I spoke with Harry initially last February, I was very impressed with what this young entrepreneur had achieved so far. Over the past few months I’ve checked in with Harry for updates and watched as things have gone from strength to strength for him.
In between studying for school, teaching children to code and attracting former Dragons to come on board with him, Harry took some time out to tell us about Kid Tech and his journey so far.

19: Business Showcase: – Group Travel Made Easy - Bob & Fergal is a new travel technology startup co-founded by Bob Haugh of Travel Department and Fergal O’Brien. Based in Dublin, have developed a new platform that aims to take the pain out of booking group outings.
We spoke with Fergal to find out more about this new company and how they plan to make our life easier.

20: Business Showcase: Localmint

LocalmintLogo Launched in December 2013, this week’s Business Showcase feature is on a web based service called Localmint. Aimed at providing consumers with easy access to information about local retailers, the service has now also launched in America, Australia and the U.K.
We spoke with COO Oisin Ryan to find out more about what this service offers both consumers and retailers and to get an insight into what the future holds for this fast growing company.

21: Business Showcase: Face My Case – Personalised Phone Cases

FaceMyCase Face My Case was established in 2011 by Jason Miller and it is a family owned Irish Business. Using high quality printing machines and technology to print customised phone cases, Face My Case offers a service that is provided by no one else in Ireland.
We spoke with Seán Leamy from Face My Case to find out more about the company and the technology involved in making personalised phone cases.

22: Business Showcase: Holvi – A New, Innovative Banking alternative for SMEs

Holvi-logo Holvi are a new online bank alternative aimed at business owners allowing them to not only manage their finances but to also send invoices, set up an online store and more. Originally founded in Finland, the company is now expanding into Ireland in Beta mode with a full launch expected in Q4.
We spoke with country manager Thomas O’Reilly to find out more about this new service and how SMEs can benefit.

23: Business Showcase: Database Management Platform ‘Pushstartr’

Pushstartr Pushstartr are new Irish company who aim to save developers time and money by simplifying the way they manage databases. Based in Dublin, the company was founded by Ryan Nutley and has now expanded to a team of four.
We caught up with Ryan to discuss the finer details of the platform and to find out more about the company’s journey so far.

24: Business Showcase: Clearvision – Building Better Software Together

Clearvision Clearvision are team of software development experts who help customers scale and improve software delivery. The team recently opened a new office in Dublin but the company has been established in the U.K for many years, working with well known companies such as Aer Lingus and Paddy Power.

We caught up with Operations Manager, Mark Crutchley, to find out more about the company and to discuss their plans for Ireland.

25: Business Showcase: CramdenTECH – Governance and Compliance Tracking Solution

CramdenTECH-logo CramdenTECH was established in 2013 and is the brainchild of Caroline Egan. The company helps non-profit and SME directors and trustees to manage critical governance functions in their organisations through its range of innovative cloud solutions, BoardPASS governance and management training workshops.
We spoke with Caroline to find out more about the company and her journey so far.

26: Business Showcase: DoodleMoose Designs

DoodleMoose_Logo Specialising in high quality graphic design and striking illustration, DoodleMoose Designs is a creative duo made up of Dave and Gill, who have been working together now for over 3 years. They have built their business from scratch and over the last few years have gained a growing client list with an ever extending visual portfolio. They design mainly for print on projects that range from company branding and marketing material to children’s campaigns and character illustration. Their slogan is: “Making you look good, makes us look good”
We spoke with Gill to find out more about the company.

27: Business Showcase: – Find the Best Mobile Network for You’s App automatically gathers anonymous data about your mobile network’s performance, allowing it to be analysed for any issues. They can then work with operators to help improve network performance. They are now in trials with several mobile companies and they have recently launched an online coverage map where you can see real world network performance for all the providers in Ireland. Rather than just complain about the problem they are determined to help eliminate offline moments – one black spot at a time.

28: Business Showcase: Boxever

boxever logo 1 Based in Dublin, Boxever is a start-up focused on big data and predictive analytics, specifically for the travel industry. Its cloud-based platform is used by airlines and travel agencies to better understand the preferences and buying behaviour of their customers and prospects. They have received two rounds of funding, have several installed customers and have recently expanded into the US.
We spoke with Dave O’Flanagan, CEO of Boxever to find out more about the company.
