Fitzgerald & Partners are a niche accountancy business that specialises in dealing with entrepreneurs & SMEs. We have a lot of experience in that space.

How are you different?

We have a unique selling point in that we provide accountancy support to SMEs and business advisory utilising technology and cloud based software including our new contactless tax return service.

Why will you do well?

We are good advisors and listeners and understand complexity.

Where are you based?

Kinsale, Co.Cork

When was the company launched?

We are in business over twenty years or more and have gone through the crisis of 2008 and now of 2020.

What have been your biggest wins to date?

We have had an excellent positive response to our Doing Business in Kinsale App supporting and helping businesses to stay digitally connected and our Kinsale Digital Hub which is a modern co working safe space.

Who are you trying to attract to your product?

All businesses both corporate and private including businesses looking to set up in Ireland.

What tips would you give to others looking to build their business?

Find a good mentor and get as much advice and information as possible. There are lots of ups and downs and it is not a straight curve.

Tell us about your team?

We have an excellent CPA team that work both in the office and from home in a blended model that works well. They are super and very focussed on helping and supporting our clients in an emotionally intelligent way.

We have a new CPA trainee we took on via the CPA Ireland placement service which was excellent and free resource.

What are your plans for the future?

To survive, stabilise and grow again with our clients and get through the pandemic safely and growing further our technology and digital side of our business.

What are your favourite tech gadgets?

My smartphone and enjoy staying connected with the Bloomberg App and Irish Tech News. I like listening to youtube while going for a walk and find music relaxing.

What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?

I guess I am perhaps too contactable and responsive so may delete emails from my phone to unplug every so often.

Anything else you’d like to add/we should have asked?

I have had some great friends and mentors to help me on my business journey and it is great to be part of a network. I chair the SMP Committee of CPA Ireland and there is good engagement from members in this forum.
