BSI announce the inaugural BSI International Cyber Resilience Exchange to take place in March 2019

BSI’s global centre of excellence for Cybersecurity and Information Resilience has announced the inaugural BSI International Cyber Resilience Exchange. The Exchange brings together leading international cyber intelligence experts, providing a platform for senior business leaders to learn how to protect and secure their organizations’ information, finances and reputation in today’s ever-changing cyber landscape. The event takes place on 26 March 2019 at The Convention Centre Dublin, Ireland.

Speaker line-up includes Siân John MBE, Microsoft Chief Security Advisor EMEA; James Lyne, leading cybersecurity expert and Head of Research and Development at the SANS Institute; and Dr Jessica Barker, a leader in the human nature of cybersecurity. More speakers are to be announced in the coming months.

The Exchange will offer delegates a unique opportunity to become acquainted with the latest cybersecurity innovations and solutions incorporating an agenda that features keynote addresses by industry leaders, panel discussions, case studies and interactive workshops from leading technical solution partners – some of whom are leaders in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant, Forrester and IDC reports. It will also offer unrivalled networking opportunities for board level and senior management executives, including Chief Information Security Officers, Information Technology Directors and senior security specialists, as well as Managing Directors and Chief Executive Officers.

Commenting at the announcement, Michael Bailey, Director, Professional Services EMEA at BSI Cybersecurity and Information Resilience said: “As high-profile cyber-attacks continue to dominate the news and the influence of data protection regulation continues to mount, cybersecurity emerges as a cornerstone of our global economy. Our Exchange has been developed for organizations who want to achieve information resilience throughout their business and who want to create an environment where infrastructure is protected against pervasive cyberthreats, regulations are met, and trust is maintained. It will provide delegates with an opportunity to engage, share and collaborate with industry experts, as well as their peers, on the most pressing issues in IT security.”

“Our reliance on technology is growing exponentially and the nature of cybersecurity is changing indefinitely because of it. Cybercrime has become the second most reported crime in the world and the costs are expected to hit €5.1 trillion annually. Companies need to be prepared and from our experience of working with organizations across the world we know that this can be achieved.”
