On Saturday May 21st, the second BLOGGERCONF took place in the Marker Hotel, Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, generating a storm of positivity on social media, and proving a huge hit with attendees.

The prestigious line-up included guest speakers like businesswoman Marissa Carter; RTE Social Media Coordinator Suzy Griffin; editor of Stellar Magazine and founder of beaut.ie, Kirstie Mc Dermott; Head of Daytime TV (Acting) at TV3, Debbie O’Donnell; and David and Stephen Flynn from The Happy Pear.

Attendees on the day included leading and emerging Irish bloggers along with key influencers Kelly Donegan, Rosemary McCabe and award-winning bloggers Kate Kelly and Stephanie Quigley to name but a few.

The event is designed to celebrate and recognise the increasing importance and role of bloggers and digital influencers in Ireland, and uniquely bring them together with Irish brand experts to address digital engagement strategies, community management and the key challenges facing those wishing to grow and engage audiences online.

Highlights of the event included invaluable insider knowledge shared by Kirstie McDermott, from her journey from founding Beaut.ie in 2006, to her current role as editor of Stellar Magazine, along with insights into the merging of blogging with broadcasting from TV3’s Debbie O’ Donnell. Sinead Burke of Mini Mélange captivated the audience with the story of how the internet gave her a voice while attendees learned invaluable tips and skills to progress their blogging careers with creative skills shared by Youtube and practical masterclasses from LinkedIn, Google and Canon.
Owner and organiser of BloggerConf, Emma O Farrell, pictured above, was blown away by the positivity on the day “Our second event was a resounding success as we sold out days ahead of the event. The best thing about BLOGGERCONF is that it’s open to everyone – whether you are curious and want to know what’s happening, whether you’re a brand or a PR wanting to meet influencers or someone who considers themselves part of the social media and digital content creator space. It was an inspiring day for all! We can’t wait for the next one.”

After a hugely positive, fun filled yet informative day, attendees left armed with the requisite skills to make it in the world of bloggings, and got to take home brilliant goodie bags brimming with treats from sponsors including Lifes2Good, Renault, Microsoft, Snap Ireland, Sleek Makeup and Image Skincare.
