Black Blockchain Summit Comes to Washington, September 2018

When and where is it on?

The Black Blockchain Summit 2018, is an interactive 2-day conferencing event, to be held on the 10th to 11th September 2018, at the prestigious Howard University in Washington DC, USA.

How many years has it been going?

This is our first year.

What was the inspiration to start it?

Everywhere we go across the World we also see Black people facing similar problems and challenges like no access to quality education and economic opportunities. This primarily results in a lack of upward social mobility and dysfunctional societies that are easily manipulated by negative external and internal forces; colonialism and corruption respectively. The Black Blockchain Summit seeks to highlight the root causes of this situation and discuss remedies using technology including Blockchain and Crypto-currencies.

What exciting things can people look forward to?

We have aligned up great speakers and panel sessions from practitioners in the space.

The conference will be followed up with hackathons to help after the event across the World.

What opportunities are on offer for those attending?

We will have education sessions for beginners as well as possible airdrops from some of our partners.

Who will be speaking?

They include:

Alakanani Itireleng

Lamar Wilson

Jimmy Song

Max Keiser

Isaiah Jackson – BitcoinZay

Reggie Middleton

Chris Bates

Brock Pierce

Rep Stacey Plaskett

Prof Darrick Hamilton

Bryan Calhoun

Prof Todd Shurn

Symone Sanders

Deidra Ramsey

Shanita Nicolas

The Honorable Muriel Bowser

Jeff Garzik

What tips would you give to people attending to get the most out of it?

People should do some background research on Blockchain and Crypto-currencies, they can visit www.BitHub.Africa. They should also download our event application at www.BlackBlockchainSummit.com

How can people book tickets and when does it usually sell out?
