BEUTiFi.com acquires main competitor SalonAddict in a bid to take over the global Salon-booking industry

BEUTiFi.com today announced the acquisition of SalonAddict, making them the leading salon marketing & booking website in Ireland and giving them a significant UK presence. BEUTiFi.com also announced 14 new jobs in addition to the acquisition.

BEUTiFi.com has 1,500 salons signed to date in Ireland and the UK including Peter Mark, Waxperts and Hugh Campbell Group. Like JustEat, BEUTiFi is a platform that allows consumers to discover the best salons, read reviews and to book appointments online in real time through its website. The salon booking site will facilitate approximately €10m in booking revenue in 2016 through its platform.

This means BEUTiFi.com will have one of the largest customer bases in Ireland and the UK and positions BEUTiFi.com on it’s way to becoming a major player in the €100 billion global salon market.

The salon booking industry has seen a massive growth in the last number of years with a 22% growth in google searches for hair and beauty related services in 2015. However, industry research shows that that 70% are still offline and over 85% of salons are still unable to deal with online bookings. BEUTiFi.com’s primary goal is to disrupt the industry with its leading technology platform, which takes the headache away from salons & professionals to market to new customers and allows salons to focus on what they are passionate about – providing excellent services.

BEUTiFi.com, Founder and CEO, Richard Spence, who also founded leading overseas property portal MyOverseasProperty.ie and brings with him a wealth of knowledge from key roles at L’Oreal and CarTrawler, has huge global plans for the business. “Today’s announcement marks a huge stepping stone in our work to date in building a strong and vibrant customer base in UK and Ireland. The acquisition of SalonAddict sees us move a step closer to our goal to be the largest hair and beauty booking website globally. The focus is now to further grow the customer base in Ireland and the UK and to launch into a number of new cities across Europe and the US.”

Cormac McNamara, MD of Salon Addict said “At SalonAddict we have dedicated our efforts to first-class customer service and cutting-edge technology. The team at BEUTiFi.com have expanded on these values and we’re delighted that the acquisition of SalonAddict will be instrumental in driving their international expansion”
