Back to Business: Network Cork webinar on how businesses must adapt post COVID-19

How businesses can thrive amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond will be explored at Network Ireland Cork’s live webinar on Wednesday, 1 July, with an interactive panel discussion of some of Cork’s business leaders.

Entitled Back To Business, the event will be moderated by Leigh Gillen, MD of Leigh Gillen Events with panellists Dave Barry, founder of Conexion; Valerie Finnegan Cahill, owner of Ikon Hair Design; Donna Mannion, sales and marketing manager at the Maldron Hotel South Mall; and Philipa Jane Farley, a consultant at ProPrivacy. Taking place from 8 pm-9.15 pm, registration is free for members and €15 for non-members at https://networkcork-backtobusiness.eventbrite.ie.

The webinar will offer insights on how to adapt to the new way of working, with the panel sharing insights, challenges and solutions to our current state of affairs.

Speaking ahead of the webinar, Leigh Gillen said: “Many businesses have responded to COVID-19 with innovative and timely pivots that push them into new markets. At Leigh Gillen Events, we have shifted our focus to include new offerings such as Online Moderation, Online Event Consultancy and Event Management Webinars for Business, all of which come from client demand, as they seek to also pivot their businesses.

“The reopening of society and businesses has been long and is hard but it has also been a time when many businesses have rallied and been at their most brilliant. I hope that those attending the Network Ireland Cork webinar will come away from the evening with powerful insights on innovation and what can we learn from recent months going forward.”

The Back To Business webinar on 1 July is the sixth webinar in the Network Ireland Cork series launched to support members during the COVID-19 pandemic. Questions can be submitted in advance at www.slido.com or on the Slido app by using the event code #networkcork.

Network Ireland Cork’s president, Marguerite O’Sullivan added: “When I was appointed president for 2020, my focus was to aspire members to become leaders in their field. This has been an unprecedented year, but my objective hasn’t changed. It has never been more important for those in the businesses community to be their very best.

That’s why we are delighted to have some of the leading professionals in Cork — Dave, Valerie, Donna and Philipa — speak at our next webinar and discuss how they have stepped up during these times, the lessons they have learned during COVID-19, and what the future of work will look like.”
