The European project LIFE – AUDIT PLUS has opened a call for energy-intensive industries in which it offers a free of charge comprehensive consulting service that will guide selected companies in the identification and implementation of energy efficiency measures.
By requesting this tailored energy consulting service, companies will be able to reduce the energy intensity of their industrial processes and advance their decarbonisation.
The project partners in Ireland, UCC-IERC and Lawler Sustainability, offer this service to companies that request it until the available resources run out.
LIFE AUDIT PLUS offers free of charge consulting service in relation to:
1. Technology assessment
2. Cost benefits analysis of energy efficiency measures
3. Engineering support for the installation of energy efficiency measures
4. Identification of public and private financing sources for the implementation of energy efficiency measures
5. Matchmaking between technology/service providers and energy-intensive industries
6. Guidance for implementation of energy efficiency measures recommended by energy audits
7. Development of a corporate energy strategy
Each support voucher consists of up to 100 hours of free-of-charge consultancy service provided to a company of an energy-intensive sector which requests the service.
The project is carried out in 3 countries, Ireland, Spain and Poland, and is focused on energy-intensive industries of certain sectors. In Ireland, the service is offered to pharmaceutical, chemical, healthcare, food processing, manufacturing and other energy-intensive industrial sectors.
To request the service, companies may consult the Services Catalogue and contact the project partners leading the service implementation IERC and Lawler Sustainability:
The AUDIT PLUS project, funded within the European research framework LIFE-CET-22, began its activity in October 2023 and will last for 3 years. It aims to help energy-intensive industries (EIIs) improve their energy efficiency with a pilot implementation in Ireland, Spain and Poland and also create plans to replicate their learnings in different industrial sectors.
AUDIT PLUS seeks to improve energy audit schemes in energy-intensive industries with a practical approach. The project will support IIEs with operational groups to provide technical, financial, regulatory and training support to begin their energy efficiency journey and accompany them in the implementation of energy efficiency measures to meet EU emissions reduction targets.
The project partners in Spain are A3E, ITC, EnergyLab, In Ireland IERC and Lawler Sustainability and in Poland NAPE.
