Did you know that you may be able to get a third level qualification funded by 90%, while you are currently employed?
Many people think that Springboard+ courses are open only to jobseekers, but those in employment may qualify. These are HETAC accredited courses, recognised at Level 8 or Level 9 on the National Framework of Qualifications, normally costing around €5-7k, available to eligible candidates for only 10% of the course fee.
“Cybersecurity, cloud computing, and all these Springboard+ courses provide much sought-after qualifications in areas identified by the government as suffering from a skills gap: where employers have roles to fill and can’t find suitably qualified employees,” says Regina Dunne, Education and Training Advisor at National College of Ireland.
“It may be that you’re already working in ICT and are ready to take the next step up in your career, or you want to switch specialisation – Springboard+ is open to you too. If you don’t have a degree: remember, you may still be able to apply using RPEL (Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning).”
