Annual An Post “Grow My Business” Conference to Offer Insights on how to Turn ideas into Income

Turning ideas and innovation into income is at the core of the 2016 An Post ‘Grow My Business’ Conference. The annual conference series offers business owners invaluable advice and practical ideas from top business and marketing experts on how to increase their opportunity for success. Following sold out conferences in Dublin and Cork in 2015, the An Post ‘Grow My Business’ conference returns to Cork on 20 October 2016, running from 7:30am to 1pm in the Clarion Hotel, Cork.

Speaking at the launch, Head of Post Media with An Post, Fiona Heffernan said: “Following on from the enormous success of last year’s conference series, I am really excited to officially launch the 2016 ‘Grow My Business’ conference.

This year’s line up of speakers include some of Ireland’s best business minds and marketeers, making this a must-attend event for business owners in the Munster region. Our focus for this year’s event is idea generation for innovation, business development and marketing, as well as the very important and current issue of Brexit implications for Irish exporting and local companies”.

Alison Cowzer who is the newest investor on RTE’s Dragons Den programme and Marketing and Innovation Director of Ireland’s largest indigenous biscuit manufacturer, East Coast Bakehouse, will speak at the conference. Cowzer, who has years of experience in food manufacturing and marketing, will talk about the important role of innovation in business.

Patricia Callan, Director of the Small Firms Association will help business navigate and sustain growth when faced with the issues of rising business costs, particularly wage pressures, skills shortages and employee retention, and of course internationally Brexit and its implications for Europe’s stability and our direct trading relationship overall.

Gary Brown, one of Ireland’s leading marketing experts and chairman of ad agency, Target McConnells, will provide practical ideas which can be turned into income. His interactive sessions engage the audience and he is well known for giving one-to-one valuable marketing advice, Gary will be available for idea generation clinics directly following the conference, booking details are on the website.

Bernie Kinsella, CEO of WorldBOX.ie, a new company that lets customers ship packages internationally without leaving home, will talk about growing an idea into an award winning company.

Red FM’s head of marketing, Cork native Stephen Ryan will offer up his ideas and case studies on how to grow business using integrated marketing channels.

The An Post ‘Grow My Business’ conference is designed to support business owners and entrepreneurs in the region, and will also feature an introduction to AdMailer.ie – An Post’s online direct mail tool that allows businesses to reach new customers for less than the price of a stamp.

Tickets for the Grow My Business event start at €30, with an early bird rate until 30th September. Following that, tickets cost €39 and are available at www.anpost.ie/growmybusiness
