Fleetmatics Group PLC today announced that An Post has selected the company as their fleet management provider following a public tender process. The agreement supports over 900 An Post vehicles across Ireland for a four-year term.
The vehicles will be installed with Fleetmatics REVEAL+, which is a simple-to-use fleet management solution designed to drive cost savings and improve efficiency. The solution enables enterprise customers with larger fleets, such as An Post, to manage complex organisational structures and large numbers of users, as well as to deliver actionable executive level business intelligence across the entire organisation.
“An Post operates one of the largest fleets in Ireland, providing postal services across the country every day, so we really needed a solution that was scalable and efficient,” said Paula Butler, Head of Procurement at An Post. “The powerful combination of Fleetmatics’ solutions –REVEAL+ and Fuel Card integration – helps us stay connected to our drivers in real-time, comply with important regulatory requirements and meet our customers’ needs with speed and accuracy.”
“This partnership is especially meaningful given that Fleetmatics has been an Irish company from day one, and we employ hundreds of the country’s best and brightest,” said Jill Ward, President and Chief Operating Officer of Fleetmatics. “This is our largest contract to date in Ireland, and we’re honoured that An Post will deploy our cloud-based software to help improve efficiency, drive down costs and improve customer care throughout the organisation.”
An Post employs over 9,000 people through its national network of retail, processing and delivery points. An Post processes and delivers more than 2.5 million items of mail to more than 2 million addresses using a road fleet of over 2,700 vehicles.
