AirSpeed Telecom, the leading provider of integrated licensed wireless with fibre telecommunications services to businesses, has doubled its network footprint in Northern Ireland as part of the company’s ongoing strategic investment in network growth across the island of Ireland.

AirSpeed Telecom first established an office in Northern Ireland in 2013 and initially covered the greater Belfast area. Since then, the company has steadily expanded its presence in the region and now offers high speed connectivity to businesses in a host of other areas including Derry, Armagh, Newry, Lisburn, Mallusk, Lurgan, Dungannon, Carrickfergus and Crumlin (Nutts Corner).

In addition to delivering fibre connectivity, Airspeed Telecom can provide licensed microwave circuits up to 1Gbps in capacity. This offers a great solution for diversity to fibre for business critical needs. All circuits are backhauled to the Telehouse North Data Centre in London or via Dublin to London for diversity.

As a result, Airspeed Telecom now works with some of the biggest telecoms integrators in Northern Ireland and has added a host of companies to its rapidly growing client base, including well-known names such as Cayan Payments, Paperlinx and Irish Distillers. As well as working with large businesses, AirSpeed Telecom also services a host of SME’s in Northern Ireland to ensure they have access to high-speed or ultra-fast broadband services.

Brendan Martin, Sales Director with AirSpeed Telecom, says: “Northern Ireland is attracting significant foreign direct investment and needs to be able to support that investment with high-speed connectivity. Businesses in Northern Ireland are keen to work with local providers so having a physical base there is a priority for us. As we are awarded new contracts in the region, whether for single sites or multi-sites, we’re continuing to grow our network by bringing high–speed connectivity to businesses in the region, either through licensed wireless or fibre.”

AirSpeed Telecom offers a range of connectivity options for distributed networks, optimising wireless and fibre access to suit the business budget. Specialists in uncontended, symmetrical broadband services, AirSpeed Telecom offer high capacities, up to multi Gigabit level, to business customers. The company’s clients in the Republic of Ireland include Dairygold, NCSS (BreastCheck), St John of Gods Hospitaller Services, Irish Distillers, United Drug, Eurolink and Vhi Healthcare.
