A New Dawn For Solstice: eCOMM Announce Two-Year Creative investment of Solstice Arts Centre, Navan

eCOMM Merchant Solutions and Solstice Arts Centre today announced a new two-year creative investment beginning in January 2019.  The investment will focus on developing creative arts opportunities for young people.  Valerie Moran, Business Development Manager eCOMM and Belinda Quirke, Director, Solstice Arts Centre made the announcement at a partnership launch hosted at Solstice on Tuesday 29th May.

eCOMM Merchant Solutions is an Irish success story. Founded in Navan in 2014 by Irish entrepreneur Noel Moran and his wife Valerie, the company now employs over 120 staff and works with customers all over Europe. It delivers a range of services, from providing card terminals and online payment facilities, right down to payment support services such as acquiring and processing.

Speaking at the event, Valerie Moran said “eCOMM Merchant Solutions is delighted to be part of this new venture. We hope the investment will allow the Solstice Arts Centre to continue to develop the creative skills of our youth today, and for the arts to be part of the culture of our youth in the future.”

Belinda Quirke, Director of Solstice said “eCOMM recognise the creativity that the arts empower in young people; nurturing imagination, innovation, confidence, and leadership skills. We look forward to collaborating with Valerie Moran and team in formulating a unique arts programme between young people and artists in the coming years.”

Cllr. Joe Reilly, Board Member of Solstice Arts Centre also spoke at the event, saying “I would like to thank Noel and Valerie Moran for their continued investment in County Meath.  At Solstice, you will find creativity and ingenuity. It is a place of vitality and ideas; and it is a place where young people can come and explore their potential.  This is the place they will start their journey, and this is the place that will stand to them in the future.”

Designed by Shelley McNamara, Grafton Architects, Solstice Arts Centre is a multidisciplinary arts centre, much lauded for its creative artist development programme and excellent facilities. As well as a vibrant artist commissioning and touring programme, Solstice presents a vibrant programme of visual arts, theatre, music, community as well as learning and engagement activities.  Solstice Arts Centre is partly funded by Meath County Council and the Arts Council of Ireland.
