The Eco Showboat Project – a floating art studio and science lab – will be launched by Minister Malcolm Noonan in Kilkenny on Water Heritage Day 2021.
The project will aim to connect communities to build a zero-carbon future and help spark climate action across Ireland. The event will take place on Kilkenny County Hall grounds (R95 A39T) on Sunday, August 22nd at 1 pm.
The brainchild of artists Anne Cleary and Denis Connolly of the School of Looking, the project has received several awards including an Arts Council Open Call Award 2021, an SFI Discover Award, and a Limerick City and County Council Strategic Award as well as support from Waterways Ireland, Creative Ireland, LAWPRO, Dublin City Council Waters Directive, Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics and County Council Arts and Heritage Offices around the country.
Join the Eco Showboat team for an afternoon of exciting family events in the open air on the banks of the Nore River in Kilkenny.
