As it is the season for giving, Welltel is delighted to be supporting ISPCC’s Childline this holiday season. Today, Welltel has pledged €12,000 to the “Childline for a Day” initiative to help ensure that its doors are open to answer the hundreds of daily calls, texts and online contacts from children in crisis throughout Ireland.

Childline by IPSCC is for children. Established in 1956, its purpose is to listen, support, protect and advocate for change to enhance the lives of children throughout Ireland. These vital services empower children, strengthen their resilience, and enable them to live their best possible lives.

Ross Murray of Welltel said: “The Christmas season is about giving, and we at Welltel could think of no better cause to support than the ISPCC and Childline. They work tirelessly behind the scenes in providing care for children when they need it most. We are honoured that we could play our part through supporting the “Childline for a day” initiative.”

John Church, CEO, ISPCC, said: “I am very grateful for the support of Welltel and their sponsorship of Childline for a day. Not all children and young people will experience the type of Christmas they deserve but thanks to this donation we will be there to listen and offer the support they need.”
