An innovative new platform has created an opportunity for social media content creators to earn money from distributing their sounds on popular platforms.

#fypsounds specialise in monetizing non-music audio creations on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. Their goal is to fairly compensate creators for their music and sound content.

Started up by Bob Shami and Asche Giglio, CEO and Vice President, respectively, of Emuq Tech, the pair wanted to address the fact that pop culture is rapidly outpacing the music industry by monetizing audio creators just as quickly as pop-industry trends tend to arise.

“This business has way too many obstacles for independent artists and creators to get their work out there”, said Shami.

“Old-School Ways of Publishing Audio Content Are Gone”

Shami: “#fypsounds was created to eliminate this barrier. The complicated and old-school ways of publishing audio content are gone; now young people from all over the globe can get their creations heard and monetized instantly”.

Giglio mentioned how important it is to keep in mind that not everyone speaks English, so the process of how the app works needs to be in simplistic terms.

Giglio: “We kept in mind that not everyone speaks English, and that we needed to simplify the ‘bureaucratic music-distribution process’ in order to make the platform both practical and efficient for everyone”.

“The platform was designed with Gen Z in mind, but is extremely user-friendly to people of all ages and nationalities… At #fypsounds, our motto is ‘anything can go viral’, meaning we embrace creators of all kinds to express themselves and get recognized for their creations”.

With success stories such as well-known TikTok stars, John Mayer and Amber Riley coming through the #fypsounds platform, there is no more need to worry for social media content creators about their sounds being stolen, they will be compensated for their efforts thanks to the hard work from Shami and Giglio.
