55% Of Recruiters Reconsider Job Candidates After Seeing Social Media Profiles

This article originally appeared on 60 Second Social.

A little food for thought today, 55% of recruiters reconsider hiring a job candidate after they have had a look at their social media profile.

Competition in the jobs industry is high and there is a larger pool of people to choose from than ever before so companies can be more selective than ever before. Companies are in fact turning to social media more and more to help them find the perfect candidate.

You never know who may be watching your Twitter feed or your LinkedIN profile however head hunting on social media is becoming more popular these days with companies trying to outmuscle each other on the recruitment drive.

As a result, it is important that you maintain a good social media presence, always be appealing. Never put yourself in a position on social media where people may consider you as ‘unemployable.’

The infographic below is based on the annual Jobvite social recruiting survey.
