TERMINALFOUR today announced the completion of a €1.4M investment in its higher education digital engagement platform. This is the culmination of 18 months R&D and evolves the product beyond its web content management roots to a full digital engagement platform for higher education.

In the past year, TERMINALFOUR’s flagship product has undergone an extensive re-architecture, seen the introduction of new structured frameworks and received 150 new feature enhancements. The result is the arrival of the TERMINALFOUR Digital Engagement Platform. The solution is now available in two editions: TERMINALFOUR Site Manager 8, the core web content management product, and TERMINALFOUR Engage.edu, the full digital engagement and web content management product.

TERMINALFOUR has invested more than 55,000 hours of development into this latest release and grown the R&D team by 40% to bring it to market.

This is the first time TERMINALFOUR has made its platform available in two editions. At the core is a web content management product which is the underlying technology for both editions. In addition to this, TERMINALFOUR Engage.edu has been augmented with a host of measurement and engagement capabilities.

The development and direction of the product is in recognition that universities and colleges are no longer only concerned with managing content across their online real-estate. With increased demands for transparency in terms of performance, results and student involvement there is a greater need to measure online effectiveness, engage with and create personalised experiences for every visitor.
