Great interview with Pelin Gönül ?ahin, from the Chief Operations Office of Startupbootcamp.

Website here.

When is it on?

The event will take place in Dublin on August 14th at DoSpace Dublin.

How many years has it been going?

Startupbootcamp has been running accelerator programmes on 5 continents around the world for nearly seven years. We have been running our FastTrack / Office Hours tour mentorship events for over 3 years, and have run over 500 of them (over 250 in 2016 alone).

What was the inspiration to start it?

We started running these mentorship events to give back to ecosystems around the world, finding startups in countries outside of our programme locations and be able to find the best startups and connect them to our partners to find opportunities and make connections.

What exciting things can people look forward to for the 2017 version?

A chance to meet with Todd and Pelin the managers of the Startupbootcamp Smart City Dubai program. In the program itself, startups will have opportunity to meet government, corporate, and technology mentors from other related industries, as well as receive funding, mentorship and hands-on advice from entrepreneurs in residence.

What opportunities are on offer for startups attending?

Opportunity to be given special consideration to participate in Startupbootcamp Smart City Dubai’s upcoming acceleration programme and meeting our team.

What tips would you give to people attending to get the most out of it?

Make sure you are a startup with a potential application in the smart cities vertical, come out with an open mind, and ask us for help on the problems we’re working on. We want to learn about you and help you tackle whatever issue you’re facing as a business. This helps us learn how we might be able to work together and help you grow your startup.

How can people book tickets / when does it usually sell out?

You can apply to participate through our website here: https://www.startupbootcamp.org/events/startupbootcamp-smart-city-dubai-office-hours-dublin/

The event is completely free, but we prioritise the most relevant startups, as well as startups that apply early.
