How many years has it been going?

The Seedstars Summit 2017 marks the 4th edition of the event and of our global competition, which started in 2013 bringing together startups from 20 countries to get to this year’s edition gathering 65 startups from Africa, Asia, MENA, CEE and Latin America.

What was the inspiration to start it?

Opportunity to impact millions of people’s lives via technology and entreprenuership.

 What exciting things can people look forward to for the 2017 version?

This year the Seedstars Summit will be bigger, better and even more impactful with startups from 60+ countries and 1000+ attendees from all over the world. This year our content and networking experience have been enhanced to give our attendees the best experience ever. The Summit is the only invite-only event that focuses entirely on the disruptive innovation coming from emerging markets.

The Summit will kick off with workshops and panels covering a wide range of topics from InsurTech to AgTech and Financial Inclusion. And in addition to the investment by Seedstars of up to USD 500’000 for the Seedstars World Global Winner, a chance for investment will be granted to the best FinTech startup, a grant of USD 50k will be awarded to the best EdTech startup while we’ll be rewarding the best startup in the IT and Software Solutions, as well as the Most Innovative startup and the Best Woman Entrepreneur of the Seedstars World 4th edition.
