When is it on?

Sept 22nd, 8.00am – 11.00 am at Nimbus Centre, Cork Institute of Technology.

What was the inspiration to start it?

Each year Nimbus Centre hosts an industry event where businesses can find out about the technology innovation supports we offer to companies. This year we decided to do something a little different and invited in guest speakers to discuss topics that we thought were most relevant for businesses today. Topics include how Irish companies can operate post Brexit, business opportunities in the German market, and technology innovation supports available to industry. We also have an investment expert travelling from the UK to give advice on raising finance for your business.

What opportunities are on offer for people attending?

The event is centred on overcoming key challenges for industry, and will offer guidance and information on new business opportunities. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with experts in venture capital, as well as specialist researchers and engineers. One of our guest speakers, Stuart Hillston, founder of ConCap Ltd, works extensively with early stage and growth companies to develop a focussed commercial strategy that appeals to investors. There will also be a tour of Nimbus Centre and exciting technology demonstrations.

How can people book tickets / when does it usually sell out?

Because places are limited the event usually sells out quickly. Admission is free and tickets must be booked through Eventbrite. You can register to attend at  https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/business-breakfast-applied-technology-commercial-realities-tickets-37451076177

Anything else you’d like to add / we should have asked?

This event is open to all, whether that be individuals with an idea, start-ups, SMEs, large multi-nationals, investors and government agencies. It is an ideal opportunity to discuss your technology needs with a range of world class research and engineering experts.
