Today we’d like to introduce our readers to JimsComputerStore.com.

Jims Computerstore.com is an online IT store that has over 40,000 products.
It sells everything from a memory stick to a raid server and all the parts in
between that go into making these products.

JimsComputerStore was set up by Jim O’ Sullivan, in March 2011 and is based in Tulla, Co Clare. As many of you have no doubt experienced, before setting up the webstore Jim found that it was difficult to get the products he wanted at a competitive price and realising that there must be many more in the same situation he set up the webstore and has been hugely successful since.

In a journey Jim describes as growing a corner store into a Supermarket, the webstore now has over 40,000 products available. If the product you’re after isn’t listed you can get in contact and they’ll be happy to track it down.

JimsComputerStore‘s mission is to become Irelands biggest and best IT Resellers by sourcing products from multiple sources and having them available to you their customer within a few days notice

You can read more about the Jim and the company’s history here and be sure to check them out on Twitter: @JimsCompStore

JimsComputerStore have kindly provided us with a fantastic prize to give away this week.

The GoBook is an e-reader designed especially for children. It aims to encourage children to be more enthusiastic about reading, and brings a touch of excitement, fun and style to the literary world which so many children shy away from. Technology is already being used to help children to learn, so surely it should also be possible to change children’s attitudes towards reading, and this device takes several steps in the right direction. With an 8in colour touchscreen, this electronic reader can get children back into reading or start them off. Though this is simply a starting point, as there are thousands of eBooks to choose from, so children are sure to find something that they are interested in. Hopefully this e-reader can make reading – and in turn learning – more fun, and to ensure the suggestion of reading is met with smiles instead of groans!
